Information for Intermediate A Students (Semester course)

Welcome to your new class! We hope you enjoy the


c o u r s e . Please read the following information about your course.
Course books

In Class

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late , you will be marked


“absent” for that hour and the teacher will.

Not let you into the class. Please come back for the next hour of class.

Please switch off your mobile phone before the class begins.

Please do not eat or drink anything (except water) in class.

You must bring all your books to every class. If you do not have the
right book, the teacher can ask you to leave the class.

You must attend at least 60% of class hours to pass the course. There
are no justified absences

Assessment

Please check the dates and rooms for your

first (midterm), second(final) and third assessments

If you do not take the exam or class test on the established date, you will
receive a grade of ZERO
for that exam or test. The teacher will not give you surprise tests – you
will always know in advance when there is an exam or test.

The first and second assessments are worth 65 points. The other
35points come from the oral exam, class tests, homework,
projects etc. The third assessment is worth 100 points.

Each exam lasts 2 hours. In the listening section you will hear the CD

Intermediate software and Units 1 to 3 on the Face2Face Intermediate

software.

You must complete SIX units in total (you decide which units you
would like to study). If you do not complete six units, your teacher will
deduct points from your second (final) assessment. If you complete more
than six units, your teacher will add points to your second (final)
assessment.

To complete a unit, you must do ALL the activities AND have an


average score of 80% or more
