Information for Advanced B Students Semester

First (Mid Term) Assessment

In Class
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will be marked absent for
that hour. Please come back at 12:30 (no later) for the next hour of class or
you are welcome to stay for the remainder of the hour, yet you will be marked
absent for the first hour.

Please switch of your mobile phone before the class begins. This is required.
No texting or talking on the phone during class. Phone will be collected if used
during class and returned at the end of class.

Please do not eat or drink anything (except water) in class.

You must bring all your books to every class. This includes a notebook
for daily writing. If you do not have the right book, the teacher can ask you
to leave the class.

You must not miss more than 22 hours of class to pass the course. There
are no justified absences.

Please write your first name and your two last names on all of your
assignments. Include the date as well. This is very important.

Use Sidweb to communicate any questions or concerns you may have. Office
Hours-schedule with me ahead of time.

Assessment
Please check the dates and location for your first (mid term), second
(final) and third (mejoramiento) assessments on the sistema acadmico.

If you do not take the exam or class test on the established date, you will
receive a grade of ZERO for that exam or test. The teacher will not give you
surprise tests you will always know in advance when there is an exam or
test.

The first and second assessments are worth 65 points. The other 35 points
come from the oral exam, class tests, homework, projects etc.

The third

assessment is worth 100 points.

Each exam lasts 2 hours. In the listening section you will hear the CD two
times only.

You should do units 9 to 14 English Unlimited B1+ Intermediate software to

practice listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.

Ask your teacher for a required Reader Story Book to improve your reading
skills.
