Dear Parents,

This year our theme is VALUES. Each week we will focus on a different value in assembly and class. Please
reinforce these values at home.

Admissions
A warm Sharonlea welcome to all our new Grade R and 1 parents. We wish you a long and happy stay with
us.

Co-Curricular
Our Inter–house Gala will be held on Friday, 26 January. All Grade 2 – 7 learners are expected to attend the
gala. Grade R and Grade 1 learners may stay at home as they do not participate at their age.

Dress Code: House Colour T shirts and Active Ed shorts

Time: Break will be from 09h00 to 09h30
(The tuck shop will be open. Sweets, chips, ice cream and cool drinks will be sold)
Learners will be lead into the swimming pool area at 09h30
The Gala will start at 10h00 and finish at 12h00
Learners may go home straight after the gala

Homework Orientation Meetings

29th January: Grades 1, 2, and 3
30th January: Grades 4 and 5
31st January: Grades 6 and 7
All meetings will start at 17h30 in the hall

Finance
A huge thank you to all parents who have paid their tuition fees. We appreciate your support and
commitment to your child’s education.
To all parents, please note that fees are payable on the FIRST of every month (1 January until the 1 October)

School Photos
School Photos will be taken on 6th, 7th and 8th February. Please ensure that all learners are dressed neatly and
are in the full summer uniform.

Waiting Area
The Waiting Area is a desiganted area to keep learners safe until parents collect them. Learners are
wandering along the road refusing to listen to the security guards. Your child leaves the school at their own
risk. We also urge parents to collect their children by 15h30 at the latest. There will not be any teaching staff
on duty after 15h30. We also do not allow transport providers and/or hawkers to sell sweets to learners. This is
for their own safety.
