Dear Parents/Caregivers IMPORTANT DATES

The Christchurch Earthquake continues to

dominate our thoughts and activities as we
work to support the many families affected by
last weeks tragic earthquake.
We warmly welcome the wonderful people who
have joined us from Christchurch during the
week.
Yesterday our School Council ran a very
successful Red and Black Mufti day and raised
$463.70. We will continue to take donations
at the School Office over the next two weeks
and are aiming to send at least $1,000 from
our Ascot Community to Christchurch.
Thank you again for the excellent turnout of
parents at the Goal Setting Interviews. These
were very informative and helpful in setting a
positive and focussed pathway for your
children.
Our Year 7 students are presently at Borland
enjoying a wide range of outdoor activities and
have been very fortunate with the weather to
date.

SCHOOL SPORTS
On Wednesday 9 March School Athletics will be
held at our School for those students who are 8
years old or older. The date for competing is
that you have turned 8 by 31 December 2010.
All ages for the Athletics are from 31
December 2010.
Students who are younger than 8 on this date,
will be having their sports later in the term.

PTA FUNDRAISER
The PTA are selling chocolate bars to
fundraise for new desk top computers
in the classrooms.
Today each family has received a carry
pack of 24 chocolate bars. You are
requested to sell these and return the
money to the School Office.
The cost of the bars are $2.50 each.
Please return these to the School Office
by Thursday 31 March.
A sold box is $60.00. More boxes are
available from the School Office if you
SWIMMING
Swimming begins next week. It will be on each
Monday and Tuesday from 1-2pm (7 March – 29
March) at Splash Palace. Rooms 5 & 10 will be
going on these days.
WANTED
If you have any spare ice-cream container
lids, small containers, old shirts or t-shirts
that could be used as paint shirts, could you
please send along to Room 10.
