MES Introduction
MES is the result of many years of innovative product
development and collaboration with over 250 customers
worldwide. We have learned over time that managing work
in process is a key problem for all manufacturers. Whether it
be materials, machines, people or processes, the plant
floor presents challenges for management and production
workers alike.
Paper-Less MES meets that challenge. MES handles production
execution, lean execution, material tracking, WIP quality and
workforce management in one integrated solution.
MES has tools for workers which enhance their ability to do
their jobs. Tools like online shop packets (travelers) or electronic
work assignment screens that integrate ERP based manufacturing
orders, kanban orders, quality testing, WIP inventory tracking,
and more. These tools are designed in such a way that the
needs of the production worker are satisfied yet using them will
not disrupt their primary responsibilities. Workers will shift from
an orientation of not wanting to incur the overhead of using a
system to report their activity to one where they depend upon
the system to provide them information they need to do their
jobs. MES will empower workers and will become a sought
after resource for mission critical information which has an
immediate and positive affect on their contribution.
We also provide tools for supervisors such as electronic job
sequencing, visual queues which help to quickly identify
problems and electronic notifications which send alerts
when issues arise. Early notification of problems is critical

With MES in place, supervisors have a conduit for two-way
communications with the production operators. Decisions they
make will be immediately reflected on the operator’s terminals
and updates the operators provide will be immediately
conveyed to supervisors. MES offers analytical tools to
help management assess historical performance as yet another
key to process improvement. Intuitive user interfaces and
a design consistent with the workflow needs of production
employees is critical to accomplishing fast implementations and
accelerating ROI.
