I am writing this letter to recommend an amazing student, Ailin Alonzo. I have

known Ailin for over one year. She came to me during her third year of high
School. Immediately, I noticed she had special qualities that set her apart from
many other students. She was a mature 17 -year-old with a lot going on in her
life.

Ailin has lived her life to the fullest. She was a fulltime student, a member of her
community dance group (Folklorico), had a part-time a job, and was parenting an
adorable two-year-old girl. She did all this with a wonderful smile! Ailin was
determined to graduate from high school-- nothing or nobody would hinder her.
She showed remarkable ability to meet her goals by pushing forward, regardless
of what was going on in her life. She worked tirelessly towards her goal and
that is how she managed to complete Government and Economics classes
within a short time. Her ability to focus was remarkable. She would work
tirelessly in one subject for hours and still get good grades.

Ailln is smart, thoughtful, respectful, mature, dignified, open-minded, and has a

contagious smile for alL At first, Ailin may appear to be shy, but in reality she is
not afraid to advocate for herself. She is brave! It is because of her outstanding
character, determination, and work ethic that I can avow that this young lady has a
productive future ahead of her. I highly recommend her for whatever opportunity
