The Intention

Target competency
At the end of this activity, you should have communicated clear learning goals that are
appropriate for learners.

Specific Tasks
1. Visit the school
2. Get a copy of the school vision, mission and the goals.
3. Analyze the vision, mission, and goals relative to the existing school.

Copy below the vision and mission of your cooperating school

Vision

Iligan City National High School shall be the center of excellent basic education in Region X.

Mission

The school continues to nurture and develop students to become highly competitive and value-
oriented students with quality basic education and who will turn-out to be productive and
responsible citizens of the community where they serve.

Based on the school mission and vision, what are the intended learning goals for the learners?

The intended learning goals for the learners are stated in terms of what students
will understand and what they will be able to do as a result of the lesson. Goals specify desired
forms of student learning, thinking, engagement, and behavior. Whatever the instructors
decide to do in the class will be considered in light of the goals.

The Intention
Target Competency
At the end of this activity, you’re expected to develop, and use variety of appropriate
assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate learning outcomes.

Specific Task
1. Conduct classroom observation
2. Write down the learning objectives of the day.
3. Determine if the evaluation items given by resource teacher are congruent with the
set of objectives.

Request from your resource teacher the learning objectives and assessment strategies used for
the day. Write them below:
Subject matter:
Components of physical fitness

Learning objectives:
 Students will display an understanding of performance cues related to locomotion.
 Students will display an understanding of how locomotion’s performance cues are
specifically related to swimming.
 Students will display an understanding of performance cues related to springs, rotations
and landings.

Assessment strategies:

 Strategies for managing assessments in the everyday world of the physical educator
 Strategies for developing teacher-generated assessments based on the needs and
interests of their own programs
 A comprehensive listing of the critical elements for basic nonlocomotor and locomotor
skills

Request three (3) learning objectives from your resource teacher. Develop and use variety of
appropriate assessment strategies congruent with the said learning objectives.

commitment to personal fitness.

The Intention

Target Competency

At the end of this activity, you should be able to describe a healthy psychological climate
for learners.

Specific Tasks

1. Choose a particular subject area and grade/ year level in a school to be visited.
2. Conduct classroom observation.

Describe the learning environment in the class you observed.

The classroom has the mini library where different books were arranged properly in an
orderly manner. There were more than 40 students in the classroom, the arm chairs were
arranged neatly and properly. They have a creative and very nice bulletin board and the list
of honors were listed and posted in the wall.

Interview your resource teacher, how she\he created healthy psychology climate for learners
before, during, and after the class.

Target Competencies

At the end of this activity, you are expected to look the teacher’s actions that
demonstrate value
of learning.

Specific Tasks

1. Examine resource/instructional materials in relation to the existing curriculum of the


school.
2. Reflect on how resource materials support the implementation of the curriculum.

After a thorough examination of textbook, workbooks, and other supplementary


materials used in the class, select teaching methods, learning activities, and
instructional materials appropriate to the learners and align them to the objectives
of the lesson. Use the matrix below to document your finding.

How are these resources related to the existing curriculum of the school?

It helps a lot to the learning of the students. The students will be able to learn quicker. These
resources will help the curriculum much easier and can catch the student’s attention and
because of that, they can gain knowledge.

Enumerate the teacher’s actions, statements, and different types of social interaction with the
students that exemplify value of learning.

The teacher will be initiating, responding, and keeping interactions going; greeting others
and conversing on a variety of topics; giving and accepting compliments; taking turns and
sharing; asking for help and helping others; and including others in activities. Results to
that, students were monitored and given feedback on social performance in play groups and
during follow-up.

The Implementation

Target Competency

At the end of this activity, you are expected to demonstrate mastery of the
subject matter.

Specific Tasks

1. Conduct Classroom observation


2. Interview the resource teacher how he/she masters the subject matter.

Ask your resource teacher about the necessary activities and preparations to master the
subject.

The major role of teaching is enhancing student learning. Teachers were taught lecture
methods and presentation styles. The teachers were the active participants in the classrooms
while the students were the passive recipients of knowledge.

Request one learning objective from your resource teacher and list down your preparations to
master the subject matter.
The learner will participate in the following sports and activities: aquatics, basketball,
badminton, cardiovascular fitness, creative movement, cooperative games, muscle strength
and endurance, personal health, soccer, table tennis, ultimate Frisbee and volleyball, that
promote positive team play, leadership and a commitment to personal fitness.

appropriate assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate learning.

Specific Tasks

1. Conduct a classroom observation.


2. Find out the assessment strategies to monitor ad evaluate learning.

Interview your resource teacher to list down the assessment strategies she/he used to
evaluate learning outcomes of the learners.
The teachers assessment strategies:

 Strategies for managing assessments in the everyday world of the physical


educator.
 Strategies for developing teacher-generated assessments based on the needs
and interests of their own programs.
 A comprehensive listing of the critical elements for basic non locomotors and
loco motor skills.
 A wide variety of assessments strategies, such as video projects, student
projects, and portfolios, which reflect the levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
 Developmentally appropriate, culturally balanced visuals for children and
nonreaders.

Develop and use variety of appropriate assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate
learning in your subject or major of specialization. Enumeration your preferred
strategies.

Physical educators can use to assess students' cognitive, psychomotor, and affective
learning. All the sheets include teacher tips designed for implementation of the
assessment strategies.
