LEARNING : 2.2.1 Able to apply word attack skills by:

STANDARD (a) using contextual clues to get meaning of words:
(i) before the word (anaphoric)
(ii) after the word (cataphoric)
2.2.3 Able to read for information and enjoyment with guidance

OBJECTIVE : Identify word attack skills and enjoy the lesson taught.

ACTIVITY : 1. Teacher introduces the topic and get the pupils to respond.
2. Teacher explains the anaphoric and cataphoric to the pupils.
3. Pupils read and recognise item.
4. Teacher and pupils read the examples in the TB page 98
5. Pupils guess the meaning of the words based on the teacher’s explanation.
6. Pupils to identify the anaphoric and cataphoric in the text provide -TB pg 98
7. Ask pupils/group at random to read their answers and teacher discusses the answer.
8. Pupils copy the text with answer in their workbook.
