Kilat is an institution of learning spanning 62 years of existence. Then Colegio de San Jose, the
University of San Jose-Recoletos continues to fulfill its vision of providing Quality Christian
Community-Oriented Education.

Identified as one of the excellent schools in the Philippines, USJ-r takes pride in its excellent
faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, healthy academic atmosphere, active community outreach
programs and spiritual freedom that permeates the walls of the university.

The University is made up of twelve degree-granting, academic colleges. While each college has
its own personality and area of expertise, they frequently work together to offer
interdisciplinary degree programs and undertake complex research.

Safety and Security Department (SSD)


All bonafide students are required to know and observe the rules, regulations, policies,
guidelines and requirements of the University.
Josenians are expected to behave with Christian dignity, integrity, honesty and conduct
themselves in good faith at all times, within and outside the campus, as well as uphold the
tenets and moral standards of a Catholic university.

Student Affairs Office (SAO) reserves the right to assess the propriety of student’s attire,
grooming, and/or decorum. SAO takes full responsibility of the non-academic concerns of the
students.

Library Services Reference librarians are available during regular library hours to assisst
students in their search for information. Photocopying service- the hours of service are as
follows: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon 1:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Circulation Service- it is concerned with
the following activities: charging and discharging of the library materials to the readers and the
returning of such materials to its proper location. Service to outside researchers is limited to
reference/information, literature search, stack and photocopying services. They can be
accommodated during library hours from Monday to Saturday. Each researcher is charged the
amount of Php100.00 per day, paid at the Accounting Office. He/she presents the receipt to
the student assistant at the Reserve Counter. A library permit is then issued to him/her.

Clinic provide primary care to students, and often mental health and dental care as well.
