Adventist University of the Philippines, welcomes you to the John Lawrence Detwiler Memorial Library!

Centrally located in our campus being the life blood of the university’s academic life. JLDM Library is
committed to provide quality resources for the harmonious development of the physical, mental, social,
and spiritual aspects of the university’s community.

JLDM Library has a mission that will support the research, instructional and curricular requirements of
the program offerings of the university by acquiring, organizing, preserving its resources, providing easy
access to the resources through retrieval tools and appropriate information services and envisions to be
one of the best Adventist libraries in Asia-pacific by 2022.

In charged of the library are the skilled and well-trained professional librarians, headed by Dr. Michelle
O. Carbonilla.

The library’s collection consists of print and non-print materials that support all the curricular offerings
of the university in the college, masters and doctorate levels. Approximately ranging from 54k print and
non - print materials.

JLDM Consist of 10 library sections. Offering services like, Virtual Reference Services (via email, chat and
social media), Current Awareness Services, Document Delivery, Interlibrary Loan, Library
Orientation/Tour, Online Library Instruction, Reader’s Advisory, Web OPAC, Bibliography & indexing,
Database searching, Citation maker, and their newest service the Plagiarism checker.
