Mon, 2/12 – Youth of the Year applications are now open. Twelve students from
Tifton will be selected as finalists to submit essays for the scholarship as “Youth of
the Year.” See Mrs. Parker in guidance if you have any questions. Applications
are due to Mrs. Jackson in guidance by Mon, 2/12 at NOON.

Mon, 4/30 – deadline for poetry contest April is National Poetry Month and in
celebration the America Library of Poetry is holding a Poetry Contest. The
grand prize is $500 and the deadline is April 30. Turn your poem into Mrs.
Coleman in the media center or your Lit teacher.

WBL (Work Based Learning) applications in RM 318. You must be accepted into
the program to be placed in the class. If you have question, see Mrs. Thomas.
National FFA Week: the Tift County Chapter is celebrating with the following
dress up days:

Every Tues – FCA, 7:30 in ROTC RM 924/926 in the gym. You may enter
the gym through the side student parking lot doors nearest the ROTC
classroom. You do not have to be an athlete to join and the club is

Every Wed - Game Development Club - NEW club for TCHS where students will
learn the basics of game design and development. They will learn such things
as code comprehension, basic unity interface, and 3D modeling. Meet in RM
313, 3:10 - 4:30 PM starting on Wednesday, February 14 and meet every
Wednesday. Any question?? Contact Mr. Andrew Scarborough in RM 313.
