INTRODUCTION

The codes and standards contained herein are for your guidance and compliance as a
member of PC House Group. It is imperative that codes and standards prevail
uniformly throughout PCH Group at all times. It is our endeavor to develop a highly
motivated and competent group of individuals who, on their own, ensure the
maintenance of the highest possible standards.

Each individual is expected to take a personal interest in ensuring that the standards
are maintained, as then it enables us to grow progressively in the long term. We make
every effort to assist in the development of our personnel and make the career with
us a rewarding one

Conduct & Responsibilities

1 Dress Code

During working hours all employees should be groomed in appropriate formal


business attire. Whether or not your job involves contact with the public, you are
required to dress in a way that the company considers appropriate to the business
situation. Account will be taken of religious and cultural norms. Styles that could
offend normally accepted standards will not be permitted.

Acceptable dress
Whilst operating a flexible approach to dress there is an overriding requirement to
dress appropriately. Therefore, the following broad guidelines should be adhered to
at all times.

Male staff
Tailored trousers, short or long sleeve shirts. Tie (optional). Jacket,

Female staff
Sarees, tailored trousers, tailored shirts, suitable dresses, skirts, and blouses, smart
tops, shalwar kameez, with leather sandals or shoes.

It is important for common-sense to prevail, the above is not exhaustive, we must all
however remember we are working for a professional organization that is proud of its
brand and reputation, and we must present ourselves accordingly.

2. Attendance

Punctual attendance is mandatory for efficient job performance. In case of absence


for any reason notify your immediate supervisor as well as the HR Department as soon
as reasonably possible. A leave application has to be produced to HR with the approval
of your supervisor, if not leave will be considered as no pay leave. Poor attendance,
absence without notification or habitual tardiness will be subject to appropriate
disciplinary action, up to and including termination. All are expected to be present at
work by 8.30 am to commence the day’s work. Lunch interval will be an hour which
should not be exceeded. Regular attendance is absolutely essential. Absenteeism is
not tolerated.
Your leave, however short it may be has to be approved in advance. Leave may be
granted by your superior at his discretion. In extreme situations and emergencies
which require you to keep away, you must inform the superior officer to whom you
report on the same day by telephone, telegram or written message. All sick leave
availed of must be supported by a medical certificate, otherwise the period of absence
will be considered “Causal” leave.

3. Criticism

Do not criticize a member of the staff or the PCH itself at private gatherings or at casual
conversations. Do not pass judgment about other employees of the organization. If
you have any complaints or criticisms it can be spoken at professional forums where
outsiders are not present

4. Telephones

Be courteous on the phone. Identify yourself and your department If the person the
caller wishes to speak to is not present, find out if you can assist him/her in any
manner. Obtain a message and pass it on. Take the responsibility.

Keep your personal calls brief. Do not have long conversations even when the call is
internal, during office hours.
Remember that the way telephone calls are answered will directly reflect on the image
of the PCH.

5. Staff Identity Cards

You are required to wear your staff identity card which will be provided when you join
us, in the PCH premises at all times. If you require temporary Identity cards it will be
provided.

6. Career Prospects

PC House group offers careers to those who are interested in growing in the field of
Information communication technology. We make every effort to train and develop
individuals to accept higher levels of responsibility. Promotions will be made as and
when employees, in the opinion of the Management, have reached the required level
of competence and maturity to function effectively in the new position.

We encourage our employees to give their best to us and to the job as the skills and
knowledge are valuable to us.
The achievement of personal aspirations needs to harmonize with the growth of the
PCH and our priorities for filling up positions at any given time.

7. Performance Evaluation

All employees will be evaluated once in every six months. Your immediate supervisor
will be responsible for evaluating your performance, aptitude and compatibility with
co-workers. At the end of the evaluation period, you may be invited to meet given
targets which may entitle you to additional benefits.

8. Technology

The other pillar, on which the prosperity and progress of the PCH rests, is Technology.
The PCH is committed to the use of Technology to gain competitive advantage, and
provide an efficient service. It is your duty to learn and understand the use of
technology. It is expected of each member of the staff to be well informed of the
systems and procedures in operation.

PC House provides a useful internal communication tool which is the intranet, which
helps to link the people & departments with each other.

9. Superior Service

The PCH is committed to providing an excellent customer service to gain competitive


advantage. All our branch employees will be well trained to handle queries brought
forward by customers. You must attempt to excel in all you do. Take particular care to
provide a personalized service to each and every customer. Consider it important part
of your job to be of service to a customer.

10. Appointments

We encourage you to meet customers by prior appointment. Where it is necessary for


a customer to meet you again, agree on a mutually convenient date and time.
Remember, making firm appointments and keeping them will add immensely to the
image of the PCH and that of your own as a professional.

11. Cleanliness of premises

Cleanliness of the premises is your responsibility. If you see a piece of paper on the
floor put it in the waste paper basket yourself. Well maintained premises enhances
the image of PCH and it is your duty to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness,
do not wait for somebody else to do the job.

12. Customer and PCH

As far as customers are concerned, they are dealing with PCH Group and not with a
department or a section of the PCH.
If some information which is required is available only at another department, obtain
it and send a comprehensive reply. You must liaise with different departments of the
PCH and ensure that the customer requirements are fully satisfied.

13. Personal Safety

At PC House PLC, the safety of our employees is a top priority. We will make every
effort possible to ensure the safest working environment possible. If you have
suggestions or concerns discuss them with your immediate supervisor or the Human
Resources department. If you feel you are in danger of performing your job duties,
stop working and report the hazard to your immediate supervisor.

14. Food & Beverage

Without exception, food and beverage is strictly prohibited within immediate


proximity of any computers, servers, related hardware, application storage areas or
production equipment. In all other areas, employees should be mindful of potential
business visitors within the work area. Meals should be consumed in the specified
lunch area.
