8 Ball Pool - Applying Physics to the Game

Objective: To identify three ways an object like a pool ball can accelerate.

3 ways an object can accelerate-

1. Speed Up

The cue ball starts off at rest and motion less and accelerates by speeding up. When hit
with the cue it speeds up. The cue is representing the power that helps the cue ball speed up.

2. Slow down
 As you can see after the cue ball strikes the the green solid ball it slows down which is a
way to show acceleration.

3. Change Direction

After the cue ball hits the red solid ball it changes its direction or original path which is another
way to accelerate.
