I am a highly motivated medical student at University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol

Davila” Bucharest, Faculty of Medicine, in the second year. My field of interest is research and I
see a great oportunity for me to work in Biochemistry Proteomics Laboratory at National
Institute “Victor Babes” . I have skills like teamwork, acquired in volunteering in which it is
essential to colaborate. It is my plasure to work in a laboratory and in this way I usually complete
different tasks in laboratories since highschool. Generally, I want to learn as much as possible
about this world. I am a very ambitious person, I enjoy working and I want to do high quality
activities.

I think this experience could help me develop my character, through the interactions with
the members of the whole team, but I also hope to improve my laboratory aptitudes, which
would be a great asset in my long term career. As a person, I always enjoy to learn new abilities
and I consider working alongside persons with experience in this field as high quality time spend
in an fulfillment environment. I also intend not to leave after the training period, but to continue
to work in laboratory, because I was informed in the presentation conference, that we can carry
on as part of the team if we wanted to. So my purpose is not to acquire a diploma, but for my
personal development.

As presented in my resume, I have basics knowledge in laboratory work, but I am ready

to learn and also I am a quick learner. I am ready to spend lots of time in laboratory because it is
one of the most appropriate activity I can do for my personal growth and another advantage for
me is that I live very close to the Institute. For my future career this is a must, because it is the
field that I want to continue working in. I also have lots of ideas and questions and in order to
expand my knowledge it is necessary for me to enter in a scientific area. For a long time I have
been wanting to become a volunteer in the Institute, but I didn’t have the information that it is a
possibility to apply so soon. To develop my knowledge for becoming a part of the team, I have
read about mass spectrometry, electrophoresis, Western Blot, ELISA and others. I also have
teoretical knowledge acquired from Cell Biology courses which I have attended by full
attendance and with enjoyment.

I am waiting for your response and I hope to be a positive one. It would be a great
pleasure for me to work in the Biochemistry Proteomics Laboratory.
