Peer Math Tutoring Expectations and Guidelines

1. Math tutors must fill out the Math Tutoring Sign-up Form before being assigned. All
math tutoring is conducted during Connect Time Monday through Thursday.

2. Each tutor will be given the information of the tutoree (name, Connect Teacher and
contact information). It is the responsibility of the tutor to request his/her Connect
Teacher to request the tutoree to come to the tutor's Connect room to be tutored.

3. All tutors' names will be given to math teachers. If a math teacher feels he/she needs
student tutors on a given day, you may be requested to go to that teacher for Connect.

4. Make sure you fill in your service log and get it signed by your Connect teacher each
time you tutor. A minimun of 6 hours is required for a school year.

5. This is not a social time. You are expected to work and work hard. If you encounter
problems while tutoring, don't be afraid to ask the teacher for help.

6. You are a member of an honor society and expected to behave accordingly at all times.
Failure to do so will result in dismissal from GTJHSMAT.
