Grandpa’s Cooking

Nour loves her grandpa. He lives in Alexandria and comes to visit them once a

month. She wishes he came to visit every week because he tells great stories and

makes her favourite dinner.

Nour asks her dad to make the barbeque chicken that Grandpa makes.

Nour’s dad says, “I will try, but no one makes it as well as Grandpa does.”

Nour watches her dad prepare the sauce for the chicken. It looks tasty.

When the chicken is finished cooking, Nour’s family sits down to eat. Her dad was

right; no one makes the barbeque chicken as well as Grandpa.

The next time her grandpa comes to visit, Nour tells him the story about her dad

trying to make the chicken. Her grandpa says, “That is a great story.”

Then he teaches Nour and her dad how to make the chicken.

Nour and her dad make the barbeque chicken once a week. It still does not

taste quite as good as Grandpa’s. Nour loves her grandpa.
