Career Diplomat at Foreign Ministry of Pakistan since 1989 (28 years experience)
including in the Administration Division, Political/Desk Work, Multilateral
Diplomacy and organisational matters at senior level.

Intl. Experience: Served at Pakistan Embassies in Tehran (1993-95),

Washington DC (1996-97), Economic Co-operation Organisation Secretariat,
Tehran Directing Staff (10 member states’ regional Organisation based in
Tehran- 1998-2001), Paris (2002-05), Doha (2005-07), as Deputy High
Commissioner/Minister Kuala Lumpur (2009-12) and as Consul General of
Pakistan at Frankfurt (2012-15).

Presently working in the UN Division of the Pakistan Foreign Office as Director

General (UN-related Affairs/candidatures). Represented ECO at many UNGA
sessions, World Bank, IMF and other intl. agencies.

All above-referred positions relate to administrative organisation and

supervision of human resources at Pakistan Foreign Office, Pakistan diplomatic
missions abroad and international organisations such as ECO, UNDCP, OIC and
a large number of various UN agencies during 1998-2001 tenure at ECO
Secretariat Tehran. I also supervised UNDCP-sponsored Drug Control
Coordination Unit for ECO countries in 1998-2001.
