Abstract
In the economic environment of the millennium in 21st century, education plays an important
role in maintaining and maintaining prosperity and stimulating economic growth. Economic
globalization, increasingly diverse and interconnected, and rapid technological change are
new challenges and demands for individuals and societies much less for millennials. In
Indonesia alone studies and studies of millennial generation has not been done, but the
number of Indonesian population aged between 15-34 years is currently very large, 34.45%.
The existence of Millenials that dominate the population in Indonesia is certainly a new hope
for Indonesia's progress, especially in the economic growth driven by information, science
and technology, and innovation and creativity. Therefore, educational institutions should
prepare relevant learning tools with millennial characteristics and demands of the 21st
century and should be designed with a multiliteracy pedagogical planning and prepare
students to have 21st century competence. Collaboration and creativity become 21st century
competence is important in supporting economic progress, the world of work, education and
life in the midst of society, for example, cultural collaboration and creativity of the era can
be a solution for the nation in improving civilization, given in 2020 the world of work
dominated by millennial generation. In addition, the World Economic Forum 2015 predicts
Indonesia in 2020 will be ranked the 8th of the world economy. Collaboration becomes a
necessity for millenial generation in achieving the ideals of the nation, besides creativity as
a basic skill associated with collaboration resulting in good outcomes and output.
