I. LEARNING ACTIVITIES:

1. How did you picture 21st century education? (15pts.)

First and foremost, 21st century education is also known as modern learning,
which integrates technology with learning and society shapes education. Teachers
are merely facilitators of learnings in 21st century education, which differs from
traditional education in which teachers are only the focus of learning and it mostly
relates to norms and ordeals. People of any age, status, gender, or race can learn
anywhere and anytime in modern education. I envision 21st-century education as a
dynamic, authentic, and innovative learning experience. When we say it's a sort of
learning that involves innovation, we're referring to the development of 21st-century
skills including technology and computer literacy, financial literacy, and media literacy,
which will help educators and learners make their teaching and learning more
engaging and productive. Learning is not solely focused on facts and knowledge;
these two elements must be associated with skills and experience to make learning
authentic. Modern education also adheres to students' various learning styles, giving
them the opportunity to learn independently and discover multiple intelligences. Along
with that, I perceive 21st century education as a road map toward global
interconnectedness, which will eradicate discrimination, inequality, and injustice. And
in every activity, they do, students are expected to demonstrate leadership and
collaboration. Hence, modern education was created and implemented to provide
students with the opportunity to gain lifelong skills that they can apply to their future
employment, careers, or personal situation.

2. What changes does the 21st century bring to the teaching and learning
process? (15pts.)

The most massive change that the twenty-first century brought to the teaching and
learning process was innovation. Innovative technologies are no longer a luxury for
education, but rather a necessity. It is vital to incorporate it into the teaching and
learning process since it allows teachers to personalize learning through a variety of
aligned instructional methods. Also, increase productivity. Students can be assessed
and evaluated quickly and easily using online tools since they provide immediate
feedback and gratification. On the other hand, unlike in the past, when education was
isolated, the twenty-first century allows students to collaborate and communicate
utilizing digital media and settings, even from afar, to improve individual learning and
contribute to the learning of others. It also boosts students' creativity and productivity
by allowing them to use their creativeness, generate knowledge, and create new
products and processes, all while allowing them to turn their knowledge into a brilliant
technology-based presentation that can be delivered both online and face-to-face.
Other changes brought about by the twenty-first century in the teaching and learning
process include the development of higher order thinking skills that must be practiced
succeeding in the real world, to be global digital citizens, and to be problem-solvers.
