2018 ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

2018 has been a very fruitful year for Banlic Elementary School Principal,
Teachers, Staff, Learners and Stakeholders. They were all involved in one way or another
in different activities and seminars that both challenged and developed their capabilities.
Unity improved as time passed by.

January

On January 6, 2018, the whole teaching force and staff held their Gender and
Development Seminar at Dona Jovita Garden Resort at Los Banos, Laguna. It was a
whole day affair that built a new camaraderie among them under the supervision of the
then principal Mrs. Belen G. Gimutao.

The first Holy Mass for the year was officiated by the Parish Priest of St. Francis
de Assisi Parish on January 11, 2018 which emphasized the importance of change for
the better especially for the young learners. He stressed that the values that started from
their respective homes should be more developed in school. The need for concern from
both their home and school should be focused on the essence of values.

On June 19, 2018, many gathered and participated in the Family Day 2018 with a
theme: Celebrating Happiness with the Family. The celebration’s chairperson was Mrs.
Michelle Barangay. Part 1 of the celebration was the colorful parade and zumba. The
parade was followed by a zumba activity wherein both the parents and the pupils
participated with a smile on their faces. The second part was the program proper.
Master Teacher Antonia O. Hernandez led the opening prayer followed by the welcome
remarks of the then principal Mrs. Belen G. Gimutao. Messages from different
personalities followed. Part 3 was the different games participated by both the parents
and the pupils . And Part 4 was the giving of certificates and the closing remarks. It was
a huge success not only because of the attendance of the parents and pupils but more
so on the camaraderie and fun brought by the event.

One stakeholder that never stops contributing for the welfare of the kids the
opening prayer followed by messages is the Nestle-Philippines. Both the parents and the
pupils were tasked to attend a short on January 25 2018 discussing the importance of
Awareness in Micronutrient Deficiency. So the awareness doesn’t only involve the
schools but more so at home where it should be given emphasis.

February

On February 9, 2018, several teachers from other school conducted the Post
Reading Test. It was a yearly activity to assess the reading ability of the pupils at the end
of the school year. The result was good enough because a number of non-readers
became struggling reader.

The new Student Council was presented on February 26, 2018 during the flag
ceremony followed by the Oath Taking of the newly-elected officer led by Mrs. Maria
Philipina Juanir. Each officers delivered short speeches and was very eager to do their
tasks with the guidance and support of the SPG Adviser

March

On March 6, 2018, Miss Norma B. Carta, Mrs. Antonia Hernandez, Mrs. Belle
Magararu and Mrs. Edith Quebrata participated in the Continuous Improvement
Symposium 2018 with the theme: Empowering and Transforming Schools held at the
Technopark Hotel, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.

The PTA Project Sagip Bata, Tulong sa Kapwa which aimed to lessen or totally
eliminate dropped out pupils ended on March 19, 2018 for the school year 2017-2018. A
short program was held and lunch was also served with the attendance of concerned
teachers and beneficiaries. This is truly a good project where BES is truly proud of
because it’s another feeding program that assists and helps the learners.

April

On April 25-27, 2018, Mrs. Maria Philipina Juanir, Mrs. Alona Raton, Mrs. Vida
Forteza and Miss Norma Carta attended the Oplan Saliksik: Equip, Engage and Evaluate
sponsored by the City Schools Division at the Malayan College of Laguna. It was held to
equip the teachers with the needed information in doing a research. The division
encourages all the teachers in the division to engage in research work that would help
the school particularly the pupils.

May

On May 18, 2018, another School Learning Action Cell was conducted with no less
than the Assistant Division Superintendent Dr. Elvira Catangay as the Resource Speaker
tackling about Virtues and Gender Equality.

The yearly Brigada Eskwela was held on May 22-27, 2018 where all the teaching
force and other stakeholders gave their time, effort and resources to help the school in
their chosen way. This is also the same date were the coaches and athletes from different
provinces came and stayed in the school to join in the yearly sports event sponsored by
our Honarable Mayor Atty. Mel Gecolea.

There was also a seminar on May 30, 2018 that refreshed the teachers’ mind about
RPMS, Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers, Bullying Acts, and the MOOE.

June

June 4, 2018 was the opening of classes for the school year 2018-2019. The
pupils were so eager to report on the first day of school with their new uniforms and school
supplies. It was an amazing moment where the children and parents joined together to
be in school.

Banlic Elementary School joined the research team of other schools that reported
on June 8, 2018 at the Gabaldon Hall, Cabuyao Central School , Cabuyao Ciyt, Laguna.
Election of officers followed where the AssistanT Division Superintendent Dr. Elvira
Catangay joined and inaugurated the newly-elected officers and members.

On June 27, 2018, the election of classroom PTA Officers took place. Many
parents attend the said event knowing the importance of selecting the best officers for the
sake of the learners.

July

Another important event of the school was the Nutrition Day held on July 20,
2018. A program was held to give due importance on eating the right food everyday
which is not expensive but essential knowledge and practice/habit. The learners were
too eager in the presentation of their number.

August

Another School Learning Action Cell was conducted on August 13, 2018 entitled
“Conceptualizing Basic / Action Research”. Miss Norma Carta tackled about the basic
information about research while Mrs. Maria Philipina Juanir tackled about Statistical
Treatment.

Intramurals 2018 was held on August 15, 2018 Intramurals 2018. The said
activity started with the parade of the muses and escorts outside the school premise. It
was followed by a short program participated by almost everybody including the parents.
The new principal of the school Mrs. Erlinda Serdon stressed the importance of
physical fitness.
BES Kab Scout won in the Division Level so they joined in the Regional Contest
held in Biñan City, Laguna on August 29-31, 2018. The KAB Scout group were not able
to win the contest but were able to show their dancing skill with confidence and it was an
experience they won’t forget because the loud applause proved another fact.

September

On September 3, 2018, the new PTA Officers went to the office of Barangay
Captain Hon. Philip Austria for a courtesy call and discussed the different projects
intended for school year 2018-2019. It has to be discussed later with the whole PTA
Officers for finalization.

September 7, 2018 is another red day for the parents and pupils since a report it
he performance of the pupils will be discussed with the teacher issuing the report card. It
was a success since many parents came to witness the performance of their chidren for
the period covered. Card Showing

The 5th Regional Congress for Filipino Teachers (PASATAF) was held on
September 15, 2018 at Sta. Rosa Sports Comple, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. . Here, the
teachers from different divisions gathered to update themselves with the latest
development and love for our own language. This is the good time to emphasis the
beauty of our language in the teaching profession and how to best transmit it to the
learners. In this way, the pupils will also appreciate and love the language,

The new Kab and Star Scouts were inducted on September 28, 2018 at BES
Covered Court where the event was attended by the parents and ninong and ninang. The
newly inducted pupils were so glad that after the program they were involved in different
activities.

October

The teachers were treated with a dance and sing program by the pupils as the
world celebrates and give due importance to the teaching profession. Besides this
celebration, the teachers were given extra treat by the Local School Board on October 9,
2018.
On October 19-28, 2018, Miss Carta attended the Regional Training on Early
Language Literacy and Numeracy Professional Development Component BH Hotel Los
Baños, Laguna.

On October 29, 2018, the United Nations Contest (a joint project of the newly
elected GPTA President Eriberto Regaton and Mrs. Edith C. Quebrata) was held . Every
continent was represented by each grade level. A new concept using recyclable products
was a big hit. Pupils should also learn to think of ways of how to help make our
surroundings clean.

November

Every November of each year, the Department of Education celebrates National


Filipino Values Month. Competition is being held in every school just like Interpretative
Dance, Poem Recital, On-the-Spot Drawing Contest and Essay Writing Contest. The
school based celebration was held on November 14, 2018 and the grades one to three
pupils compete in the division level. The pupils were able to present their number with
confidnce.

Mrs. Erlinda Serdon and Miss Carta attended the Division Orientation and
Workshop on Learning and Development System on the 21st and 22nd day of November
at Dona Aurora Resort, Cabuyao City, Laguna. On November 27-28, all three master
teachers and Mrs. Serdon attended the Division Re-Orientation on RPMS-PPST-CUM
TIP at the same venue.

The Second State of the School Address was held on November 23, 2018 at 1::00
TO 3:00 pm. atBanlic Covered Court. The parents attended the mentioned SOSA and
afterwards a meeting cum card issuance followed.on Different future school activities
were discussed.

December
The merry month of December marked both a busy and festive scenario where
most of the activities celebrate the Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

On December 3-5, 2018, all grade two teachers attended the Division Training of
Teachers on the Enhancement of Pedagogical Skills in Teaching Reading in the Mother
Tongue and Bridging Process for Grade Two teachers at Cabuyao Central School,
Cabuyao City, Laguna.

Fun Run 2018 chairperson Mrs. Alona Raton led the event on December 9, 2018
together with the teaching force, their kids, barangay officials and alumnus.

On December 14, 2018, two new big and important events happened this date.
First, the newly built Malasakit Building was blessed by the Parish Priest of St. Francis de
Assisi and inaugurated by the Municipal Mayor of Cabuyao City, Laguna Honorable Mel
Gecolea. Second, the very first alumni homecoming was attended and witnessed by the
alumni and alumnus themselves.

The classroom Christmas Party for kids was held on December 13 while the
Division Christmas Party for teachers was on 19th day of December, 2018 at Colegio de
San Juan de Letran College Ground.
