HOW TO CREATE 2+ ACROSS LABELS IN ZEBRA DESIGNER / DESIGNER PRO

Within Zebra Designer or Zebra Designer Pro choose to create a new label and click on the
Properties Button.

On the Options tab set up the dimensions of ONE of however many labels will be printed and
click OK. The example to follow could be used to create a set of 24 1 x 1 labels within a 4 x 6
label. (For the most accurate print position you would include the width of any gaps between
labels.).

Click on the Next button to continue thru the wizard.

Select Standard print mode and click Next.

If this message appears you can ignore it and click NEXT

Set the stock type to NONE and click NEXT.

Choose the radial button for Select page size to ensure that the page size is for ONE of the
however many across labels.

Before clicking Next. It is critical that you re-select the radial button for “Automatically set from
label dimensions (default)” and return the screen to its previous view. If this is not done, you
will not be able to set Columns and Rows to different values on the Label Dimensions screen.

Select the layout for the labels and click Next.

Make sure that the Label width and Label height are the dimensions for ONE of however many
labels across to be printed. Top margins most often are left at ZEROS. Increase the ROW value
as needed to create the number of labels across and the COLUMN value for any labels down.
You may also need to measure and enter an X or Y gap value depending on the label layout to
position print on each label correctly.

The example above is the visual for 4 across and 6 down (24 labels) PORTRAIT.

Click FINISH.

Important Note – If you get to this screen and try to change Columns or Rows to values other
than 1 and they revert back to 1’s as soon as you move on to enter the next value you must go
back to the Page Size screen and re-set the radial button to “Automatically set from label
dimensions (default)”

When you create the label to be printed, place fixed Text, Variable Counter, Keyboard input
fields etc… on the WHITE label ONLY. Printing MULTIPLE COPIES will print the data on the
GRAYED labels automatically.

In this example a fixed letter A was added to the label with a numeric counter.

To preview the label, Choose File / Print and enter the number of labels to print. In this example
you would enter 24 to see all label positions created filled. If less than 24 are entered. Grey
boxes will remain unoccupied. If more than, a 2nd set would be started.

Then click on Preview to see all values as they would populate and print.

If 24 or fewer are entered Previous and Next will grey out. Click Finish.

To re-access setup, choose File > Label Setup > Next … the following warning will appear

Click Next
