If I Ruled the World . . .

By Allison

If I ruled the world,

There would be no homework,

No lines to wait in,

And no VEGETABLES!

If I ruled the world,

You could go to bed when you wanted to . . .

NO chores . . .

And NO BROTHERS!

If I ruled the world

there would be a tree

That grew ice cream cones.

And rain clouds that turn into chocolate. . .

When it rained, it would rain chocolate.

And a house that had anything you want.

If I ruled the world. . .

RATS

By Dustin

Rats choking on food,

Smelling, stinky rats,

Rats. . . jumping, crawling on trashcans.

Rats that are LONG, and FAT. . .

Rats that are small and skinny

Black rats. . . dark as night, White rats. . . soft as a polar bear,

Red rats dripping in blood. . . .

From battling with a cat.

I LOVE RATS!!!
Henry, My Puppy

By Gracie

One day I got a puppy, and I named him Henry. He was a nice little puppy. . . . until he got older. He

started to know me. . . but then I went on vacation. I left Henry. He had no one to play with, except my

Aunt Maggie. All she does is knit. She had no time to play with Henry. I was gone for five weeks and

when I got home, he didn’t remember me. . . he BIT me and I had to say “BAD DOG!” I had never said

that to him before. I was really scared that he had forgotten who I was. Two weeks later. . . Henry died.

I cried for a very long time. Then when I got to feeling better, my mom said, “Where do you want to

bury him?” I got very mad. . . SO MAD—I quickly ran outside, barefoot, slammed the shed door and then

I CRIED. I was very SAD! Just because he died. . . doesn’t mean I have to stop loving him. Henry will

always be my special puppy.

My Brother and I

By Jared

When I am with my brother, I am happy. My brother is Joel. When we play outside, I play soccer and

basketball. Sometimes I chase my brother on our four wheelers. One day, I helped him get out his four

wheeler. It was stuck. When I draw. . . he thinks the pictures look good. I love having a brother. . . and

he loves to have one too.

My Dream Job

around a cage. They eat a lot too! They eat like tigers. So when I grow up, I will be a babysitter. I hope it

comes true. . . .

If I Was In Charge of the World

By Sarah

If I was in charge of the world . . . you wouldn’t have to go to the doctor. People were always nice to

each other, and you got more time for summer. If I was in charge of the world, you could write

whenever you want, you could read whenever you want, and you could draw instead of recess! If I was

in charge of the world, there would be no fighting, you could buy toys for one dollar, and if you want to

go swimming – it would cost one dollar. If I was in charge of the world, you wouldn’t have to wait, no

cleaning, and no homework. . . but I am not in charge of the world. . . and I am glad!
