Subject :-

The Directorate intends to promote Maritime Education and rraining

at
Lakshadweep rslands. currenfly, the candidates from the
Lakshadweep lslands
aspiring to pursue career in Maritime rndustry have to traver
to the main rand to seek
education and training in the maritime fierd. This is quite expensive for the
candidates as it involves travelling, lodging, boarding and
the fees for the various
courses.
2. The Directorate has therefore decided to conduct the subject
maritme courses
at Minicoy lsland of the Lakshadweep rsrands. These courses
are pranned to be
conducted within 15 days as per the guiderines and wirr require proper
facurty and
lnstructors. The DGS approved Maritime Training rnstitutes are
requested to
nominate facurty as vorunteers to conduct the subject
courses. rnterested parties
may forward their nominations at the earliest to the Training
Department of the
Directorate by e-mail: dostro@qmail.com, ashish100g1969@qmail.com &
sinqh.deependra@qov.in. The rodging and boarding expenses
shail be taken care
off.
