General Objectives: To produce competent merchant marine officers who are qualified to pursue a professional career or advanced studies in related maritime field of specification.
Specific Objectives: The Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) program aims that within three to five years, graduates of BSMT Program should have;
a. established themselves as practicing merchant marine professionals.
b. practiced their expertise in other allied fields as trainers, academicians, crewing managers, entrepreneurs etc.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION, DEGREE NAME AND NATURE OF THE FIELD OF STUDY:

Curriculum Delivery
As per CMO No. 67 s. of 2017 and Joint CHED-MARINA Memorandum Circular No. 01 s.2019 Sec. 19, the curriculum delivery for BSMT commences by conveying the required knowledge
understanding, skills and competences that the students must acquire and demonstrate at the end of the program. MPCF-LC follows and adheres to the prescribes structure, teaching methods a
