BLACK HEN/SIAP SELEM

Once upon a time there lived a black hen and her seven chicks, every morning they
went out to look for foods.They like corn, rice, and worm. They went out of their nest early in
the morning and went back home at dusk.They had to go and return home.Black hen knew
very well the placed they had to cross in the creek for the safety of her young chick names
Doglagan.Doglagan has not a fur so he cannot fly.

One day, while they were busy looking for food they did not realize that it was
already late. The chicks reminded their mother that it was late and the sky was overcast.And
then one of the chicks asked “Mommy.mommy is raining, what will we do now? I dont want
to be wet mommy”...”Dont worry my child, i think i have a friend near here, his name is Mr
Cat, i hope we can spent the night there”replied black hen

So they went to Mr.cat house.When they arrived there.They knocked the door and
shouted”knock..knock..knock Mr Cat...Mr Cat...Are you at home?” cried black hen “Who
there’s knocking at my door??”answer Mr Cat “It’s me black hen with my children, well its
raining , i cannot pass the creek because it is flooded.Can we spent the night here?Just for one
night”Asked black hen

And then the door was opened “Oh was an unlucky day for you!!!, of course, why not
you can stay here and sleep on my kitchen” Answer Mr Cat

So they spent the night at Mr.Cat house.Time went by and the night came
unfortunately..After that, Black Hen and her chicks slept at the kitchen. But, he was
suspicious with the hospitality given to them by Mr.Cat . While her mind was wandering he
overheard Mr.Cat talking to his young children, “Tonight we are going to have delicious
food. We’re going to have chicken” he said to his children. Black Hen was shocked and
thought hard for a plan to escape. He woke all her children up. He was told that Mr.Cat and
her young wanted to kill them for food. “Darling..darling wake up Mr.Cat want to kill us .We
must to escape now!”said black hen “But mommy how to escape from Mr.Cat house?”asked
doglagan.Black hen thought and finally got an idea

“Ah, that is, we can escape from that window, come on my children, fly to that
window, and back home” said black hen to her chicks. All of her chicks could escape except
one. One of her chicks was bald. Therefore, black hen said to him to hide behind the black
rock.

Mr.Cat peeped trough a hole on the wall. There was no sign of their presence, but he
sensed something behind a black object or a black rock. “That must be her and the chicks” he
thought. He walked slowly to it and suddenly he sprang into it with her mouth open wide. A
poor Mr.Cat, he bit the rock and broke her teeth. Then, the bald chick sang for Mr.Cat,
“Nanananana, Mr.Cat punching the rock, Nanananana, Mr.Cat punching the rock”. Finally,
he could escape and went back home while Mr.Cat was crying.
