a. Motivation

“Are you ready for today’s lesson?” “Yes Mam!!”

“So for today I will let you watch an inspiring “Yes, Mam”
video. After watching, you must identify the

titled “My Beautiful Woman. After watching
the video again, I will ask you what are the
elements of the story present in the video.”

“What can you say about the video class?” “It is very inspiring and sad video, Mam”

presented, there’s also a story showing a
woman of virtue even in the midst of life and
death. Are you ready to read her story?”
Nico:” the beginning of the story is where Jane
attended the school celebration of her
daughter June. And then, the rising action is
the flashbacks of Jane showing her struggle to
be a mother to June despite of the negative
feedbacks of people around her. The climax is
when one of the flashbacks of Jane showed
that her daughter is an orphaned baby left in
the garbage trash. The respond of Jane to
Phutt’s question stating that she would rather
be the talked of town being a single mom than
them talking negative about June. And finally
the ending showing how grateful and fulfilled
Jane is, knowing that she made the right
decision of keeping June as hers.”

b. Lesson Proper:

“But, before we indulge in the story of another

strong woman, let us unlock the meaning of
the words that will you encounter in the
story.”

- Let the students group themselves

according to the symbols that they will
pick in the box.
Symbols maybe:

- The students will work with their group
to define the given meaning out of the
jumbled letters given to them.
- The words are the following:
1. kisaeng- a woman who uses her skill in
dancing and playing different instruments to
entertain men.

2. magistrate- an official entrusted with

administration of the laws.

3. scorching- intense and painful

4. banquet- a sumptuous feast.

5.fidelity- an act of showing commitment

- Still with their group, distribute the

hand-outs of the summary of “The Tale
of Chunhyang” and let them fill in the
necessary information in the word
web.
