Odisha has a wide scope for rapid industrialization, because of vast natural
resources. So there is a scope for introducing steel wool. Steel wool is composed of
uniform, thin, long fibre strands of steel having sharp smooth cutting edges. It is
mainly used for cleaning, derusting, polishing and scouring. It has good use for right
and labourless cleaning on metallic and non-metallic surfaces. It has very extensive
use in the rapid industrialization of the country and can economize on the time and
money considerably.
Steel wool is commonly used by woodworkers and craftsmen working with paint,
lacquer and varnish. It is often used for professional cleaning process on glass and
porcelain because it is softer than those materials and is able to scrape off deposits
without scratching the underlying surface like common abrasives.
