Dear Daniel Murphy Foundation,

Thank you for your generosity in supplying our students with more educational resources
through the Instructional Support Grant.

My name is Judy Bao-An Ngo and I am currently in my second year of teaching at Immaculate
Heart of Mary School (IHM) located in the East Hollywood area of Los Angeles. I am the
Junior High English/Language Arts teacher at the school and I chose to purchase privacy
partitions for the students, in an effort to reduce any anxiety associated with testing. Previously,
I had to have the desks moved around for test taking, however, with the privacy partitions,
transitions into tests and quizzes has become much smoother.

This year, our school is blessed to be able to offer a Computer/Typing Class for the students for
45 minutes every week. Our computer lab was still missing several computers in order to have
each student use a computer at the same time. Because of this, I chose to use the other half of
the grant to purchase an HP monitor for communal use in the lab. With this contribution, all
students are able to use a computer at the same time.

We thank you once again for your generosity through this grant and thank you for helping to
build IHM’s culture of literacy. May God continue to bless you and all the good work that you
do.

With gratitude,

Judy Bao-An Ngo
