MỞ ĐẦ U :

Huy : Welcome to group 4 . May today be as sweet as a strawberry

Thank you for joining us today.

As always, there are 2 teams. Team A includes Huy and Hoan. Team B
includes Hue and Hung. Hi guys. How are you today?

We are so excited about joining a debate with our friends. Thank u !

I have a question for you guys. Listen carefully!

Many people say that ‘’ Online learning is good for people at now ‘’

What do you think about this? And that is also the topic of debate for today.
Which team will start first?

Hoan : The development of information technology and the advent of the

internet, it has brought people many useful applications. In particular,
online learning becomes an educational solution to improve the quality of
training resources for society.

Huệ : We agree with topic .With online learning , the first is the convenience
of the architecture. Online learning will help students, save and be a lot
more proactive in terms of time, you will no longer have to worry about
moving when your home is far away or inconvenience in commuting.

Hù ng : Training anytime, anywhere: Quickly impart knowledge and

information at the request of students. Learners can access online courses
from anywhere: at home, work, or public internet locations and at any
suitable time when learners want.

Hoan : I understand where you’re coming from, but…

when we focus on laptop or smartphone screen too much that makes us
feel tired and have poor eyesight.

Depress and sleepy after many hours of online learning is common.

particular for me, I have to spend 9 hours a day in front of a laptop screen
this makes me feel stressed and dizzy.
Online learning make us distract from the lesson because we can open
many tabs same time to play games, listen to music even when we are in
class.

Huệ : That’s a valid point, but…

The difference of online learning is flexibility: students can be proactive
and flexible in choosing online learning websites with the guidance of
teachers or online courses with interactive forms. In addition, students can
automatically adjust their learning speed according to their ability, and can
further enhance their knowledge through the materials of the online
library.

Huy:  I’m not sure I agree with you about this…

What do you think about Sense Of Isolation ? Students can learn a lot from
being in the company of their peers. However, in an online class, there are
minimal physical interactions between students and teachers. This often
results in a sense of isolation for the students. In this situation, it is
imperative that the school allow for other forms of communication
between the students, peers, and teachers. This can include online
messages, emails and video conferencing that will allow for face-to-face
interaction and reduce the sense of isolation.

Hù ng : On the other hand, If you're disturbed about fairness, don't worry.

Currently, with a combination of online learning software and monitoring
methods, teachers can completely monitor and evaluate the performance of
students. At the same time, teachers also evaluate the quality of their
lessons based on the lessons. From there, it is possible to improve the
existing limitations and lead to a better outcome.

Hoan : You know that , No one is watching us directly, students can take
part in class then they leave the place to hang out or go to sleep. Online
learning really is a problem, in my opinion, I do not understand lessons
through a screen like learning in class.

When online learning, teachers can not directly control students so they
don’t know if students haven’t mastered the lesson yet.
Huệ: However , Students can reduce the cost of publishing and printing
documents. Students participating in online classes can actively choose for
themselves the appropriate knowledge.

Hù ng : After all , while the epidemic situation is complicating, studying at

home helps students reduce the risk of infection with others, limit large
gatherings. For students, the cost of accommodation and meals will be
reduced as before.

Huy: Another obstacle to the online classroom is technology issues in general

and a networking error in particular .Another key challenge of online classes
is internet connectivity. While internet penetration has grown in leaps and
bounds over the past few years, in smaller cities and towns, a consistent
connection with decent speed is a problem. Without a consistent internet
connection for students or teachers, there can be a lack of continuity in
learning for the child. This is detrimental to the education process.

Hoan : Next the ideas of Huy , In Viet Nam, in recent times, there is often a
fiber optic cable break, which is why the signal transmission line is very
slow, lag all the time and because a lack of conditions in all aspects such as
facilities, financial,… in another mountainous areas in Viet Nam , so that
online learning is not accessible for all students in my country.

KẾ T :

Huy : We have just heard many individual views of the teams presented.
Each team has its right. However, a problem you cannot look at one side,
look at it holistically, notice the good and bad points of the problem. And
that is the opinion of group 4. And you, what do you think about this topic?
Do you agree or not?

The answer depends on your perspective.

Thank you everyone for today. Hope to see you again shortly.Good bye !
