The document presents the research topic, questions, and group members for a study on students' perceptions of online versus face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, the group aims to understand the challenges students face with each learning method and what factors influence their preferences, such as convenience, workload, and ability to communicate. They plan to ask questions about technology use, internet access, preferences for interaction and instruction methods, and challenges experienced with both online and in-person learning. The group members are Eric Yancy Cabrera, Vivan Agustin, Denice Dominique Wagan, Kria Van Talosig, Andrea Raganas, and Menchie Zapata.

● Why do you prefer online learning?
o It is flexible. ● Why do you prefer face-to-face learning?
o The classroom environment makes it easier for me to communicate with my classmates, especially for group tasks. o I learn better in a classroom setup because of the immediate feedback from the instructors and instructions are much easier to understand than in an online learning. o I prefer the interactions and the social settings in face-to-face learning. o The face-to-face learning environment would contribute to my overall satisfaction of the course. o I do not have the devices for online learning.
● What are the challenges in an online learning setup?
o The lack of materials/devices. o The devices that I use are slow. o Poor internet connection that disrupts my online learning. o Communicating with classmates/groupmates. o The lack of feedback. o Instructions are difficult to follow. o A lot of distractions in the environment (background noise, chores, pets etc). o Excessive workload and that drains mental health.
● What are the challenges in face-to-face learning?
o My place is far from school. The transportation is tiring and time consuming. o It costs more; public transportation, gas, pocket money, food, school activities, etc. o Classroom environment distractions (outside noises, visitors, seatmate, etc) o It's difficult when you feel unwell (nausea, asthma, period cramps, fever, migraine, etc) o The break time is short. o Schoolwork is more time consuming when you're face-to-face learning.
We quite agree that online learning is not only convenient for students and teachers but often more effective than traditional classroom instruction because this is a modern teaching method based on modern technology.docx
