Departmental / Team Interpretation of Quantitative Results


 Kronos ease of view of current assignment is significantly above average of high satisfaction reflected in
Operations Northern Emirates. Efforts to be made to improve ACC scheduling.
 In terms of staff roaster being fair and balanced, Kronos scheduling is in overall indifferent category and it
needs slight improvement. It would improve with better understanding of New Leave Policy and New
contract shifts policy
 Leave application process in Northern Emirates is in overall indifferent level. And it requires
slight improvements. 31% employees commented on new leave policy as to be unfair.
 In terms of tracking Time & Attendance with Kronos, Employees are highly satisfied, once
Kronos will be implemented in Abu Dhabi, The satisfaction level in Abu Dhabi will also improve.
 Employees are highly satisfied with Workforce planning team response time in Northern
Emirates and we can add on-line Team Viewer support portal in Abu Dhabi also to improve
satisfaction level.

Kronos ease of view of current assignment is significantly above average of high satisfaction reflected in
Operations Northern Emirates.

Kronos ease of view my current shift assignment is slightly less than to FMS Abu Dhabi Roaster, because as Kronos
is a new system implemented this year , So people are still learning and also in Kronos you can see only current
month schedule not the previous month as you can with FMS . But it was the requirement form Management that
once the schedule is signed off, nobody should view it except the Resource Management Team.

Workforce Planning Team has created 10 Job-Aids to facilitate employees to learn the new system and also there
are frequent visits to Northern Emirate for training purposes. To improve further Workforce planning team will
create a LMS guide for how to view current assignment.

In terms of staff roaster being fair and balanced, Kronos scheduling is in overall indifferent category and it needs slight improvement. But still it
is significantly better than FMS.

Two major reasons leads to slight low satisfaction which are:

 New Leave Policy being implemented where 4 days off on either side of Annual Leave is being removed which leads to slightly less
satisfaction (31% employees have commented on New Leave Policy as to be unfair with them )
 Other Major reason is contract shifts allocation, as it depends on Leave plan the months where leave ratio is high, contract shifts
ratio will be high and in other months its low. It cannot be evenly balanced as two or three contract shifts per month as employee’s
feedback.

Workforce Planning Team and NE Leadership team is constantly working with employee and Executives to manage contract shifts better, And
we hope to manage it better next year as the number of contract shifts are reduced to 20 with 16 normal and 4 on-call shifts . It will improve
the employee satisfaction level.

Workforce planning team will work with NE leadership to help employees understand the New Leave Policy, So that they are more comfortable
with the same.

Management Level thinks roaster to be fairer as they are all on standard 8 to 4:30 Roaster, But Below
management level is on 12 hours shift patterns including contract shifts also.

Leave application process in Northern Emirates is in overall indifferent level. And it requires slight
improvements.

Workforce Planning Team is constantly working to improve the leave process, some steps taken are:

o Updating the Accruals Balance


o Job-Aid to View accruals and reaming balance
o One year full Leave Plan to plan and book tickets

But as mentioned earlier 31% of staff have commented on the New Leave policy and their slight less
satisfaction is also reflecting in this feedback also.

Workforce planning team is planning to have online leave application in Kronos which will significantly
improve the leave application process.

Management Leave is planned as per their choice but EMT’s have specified slots to choose, so it reflects
a slight difference in their satisfaction level regarding Leave Process.

Executives to find a middle ground on the issue.

Kronos Time & Attendance system is very efficient where you can view your schedules and also worked
hours at the same time on your mobile. Which is the primary cause of higher satisfaction in Northern
Emirates time & attendance tracking.

Managers can run reports on monthly hours, Extra Duty, Overtime which makes it very easy to track
time & attendance. Payroll is also automated with Kronos payroll File.

Once Kronos will be implemented in Abu Dhabi, ACC & Abu Dhabi tracking of attendance will also
improve which will lead to higher satisfaction in this scenario.

Workforce planning team have always provided support in learning and implementing the new system
in Northern Emirates which is being reflected in the staff satisfaction survey. There are three major
means of Support being used by workforce planning team.

 Job-Aids and Guides to help them learn and use the system
 Monthly Visits to Sites to address any outstanding issues and concerns and on-going training.
 On-Line Support with Kronos Team Viewer Portal.

To improve feedback in Abu Dhabi, will create Team Viewer Portal for Abu Dhabi Staff also.

Not rostered at the moment. Am looking forward to Kronos being implemented in AD
Operations - Abu Dhabi
We want monthly pay stubs and hours calculations!
The staff roster was initially fair and balanced but I feel there have been a lot of extra shifts added to
the roster.
Will be better when Kronos is available to AD staff
Leave application for 2018 still not open and we are already in the month of October.
Please review and discuss the total working hrs everyday for the CICPA contract as we are on call
everyday while we are on base duty.
If it's possible to ask the EMTs for their monthly availability so that they can avail fairly with the overtime
slots.
I hope the scheduling for staff vacation, contract shifts and especially overtime is fair and balance and
request be easily managed and communicated well via email. Emails sent by staff for request or inquiry
should also be responded.
Evenly distribute over times. set a limit per staff per month and give priority to the ones applying with
few OT hours or non
Finalize the total number of working hours in a year(including the contract hours)
Issues with overtime allocation is still an issue, last minute shift changes are common, leave is not
transparent and biased.
It’s really hard to get an O.T but the others who I saw in the Find My Shift has a lot of it. Sometimes
they got 2 O.T in a week.
New to the company, a lot of the questions I haven't dealt with yet. I cannot book leave etc.
Hoping that the leave will be process quickly and fairly as some has leave applications that are still
pending, even if the reason for the leave is not just preference but also a family matter. thanks
Contract shifts are allocated at random. E.g. Rostered 4 nights/ off 1 day/ nights contract shift/ off 1 day
More leave flexibility
I don't think off days should be included in the leave days. Would like to have more notice period
regarding contract shifts in order to plan time off accordingly

cover shifts are very random and has no policy to follow, uneven distribution of cover shift render some
staff work the majority of the shifts and other do just on-calls
The annual leave process is ok - the freedom to take 1 week at a time and spread my time away from
work helps maintain a healthy work life balance - but I hear this is to change to either one 5 week block
or a 2&3. This will lead to more problems in the distribution in the allocation of leave and cause a great
deal of unhappiness with the vast majority of staff. There is no reason to do this.
Overtime payment is sometimes delayed
They should have Fair and balance in giving Overtime roster to each and every staff
Pay slips should be given every payday

is the privilege of the employees.

There should be an option for staff to schedule their LMS/ CME in advance directly to their schedule*
There should be no contract shifts!

Change of time assignment disrupts our biological clock and circadian rhythm. It is now harder to adjust
time frame coming from a day shift to night shift with presence of contract shift in between. I suggest
that company management will try to study the feasibility of other scheduling of other Ambulance
service such as HAMAD to mention one. I like there scheduling well because it does provide more rest
and ample time to avoid burn out on duty especially to busy areas. by the way they have 2 days duty
day shift followed by 2 nights shifts shift. it is the same 4 days duty: 4 days off not to mention that they
have fixed schedules. to sight one example. they have 0530H-1730H for day shift and 1730H-0530H
fixed. It might be a small thing but we find adjusting to sleep pattern disrupted all the time due to
frequent change of assignments.*
It would have been better if the previous leave block system was retained (not including the off days on
the actual leave block)
Should on call duties only cover sick leave? Sometimes on call duties are covering if there are shortage
of EMT’s in certain watch.. If on call should you be called only in the same emirates of your duty and
not in other emirates?
Kronos is still a work in progress but it is improving well.
Provide the staff an information about the rules and standards of allocating contract and on call shifts.
I hope that leave allocation can be given earlier so you can plan ahead
a. there's a lot of work hours spent in rostering as what an automated system was promised.
b. is CME days/hours spent in year part of the company owed hours just like in the previous years.
If the roster is already give weeks ahead please do not change it whenever you feel like it. Do not add
contract shift or on call. Cs and on call must be plotted already when the roster was given because we
also have to adjust to the schedule and we always have no say to it
contract shifts are not fairly balanced
In changing schedule, do it 1 or 2 days before the exact day not the night before.
In my own opinion "Find My Shift" is much better compared to Kronos...
Please include how many contract shift and on call we had in Kronos. Not hours. Because its confusing*
Annual leave difference between northern and Abu Dhabi contracts.
The Annual Leave should be back to its original plotting making the first day duty the first day of annual
leave! THIS IS SO UNFAIR! This is one way of making sure that the employees will be happy.
Employees are NOT happy about the change in annual leave.
I am more satisfied in Find My Shift than Kronos its very accessible than Kronos
Humbly requesting for staff who were not involved with the issue to be permitted to request Salary
certificate in NE as most of the staff requesting needs for visa application
Kronos app on android devices do not have a month view. FMS is better for viewing.
Few schedules are not plotted on time.
Confirmation of annual leave schedules are 1-3 months before that said leave. I think 8-12 months
confirmed leave is better for planning of activities and purchasing ticket.
Rosters are not balanced in terms of Contract Shifts and On Call..

Do not include on 35 days annual leave the 4 days off before annual leave and 4 days after annual
leave.
Day offs are being reduced
Only that they could have retained the additional days off on the annual leave as it was before. Which
includes the 4 days off before and after the leave.
We are working on legal holidays. The vacation leave that we have yearly was fine when the 4 days off
before and after are not counted towards the leave. Taking shift swaps is also very strict

Allowing annual leave to be planned further in advance would be helpful. Also contract shifts being
published longer than one month in advance, even if this is just to show the day scheduled to work.

11) The previous leave application process was fantastic and helped with the work life balance. There
is a new process in discussion but only have only heard rumors which don't sound positive and have
had no information confirming or denying the changes from my line manager about what the changes
are.

We have on-calls that are counted even if we are on vacation. Thus if we have 20 shifts allowed for
leave ,we only get 18 because of the on-calls included .On other contracts there is no.on calls included
during their AL ,making us in ACC have limited or incomplete day on our AL.
Please try to avoid on calls on vacation period.
There needs to be a rule book concerning matters such as contract shifts, when shifts can be allocated,
when shifts can be changed at short notice, when rest days are not considered rest days or off days to
improve work life balance.
My roster depends in my luck lately as the process of calling dispatcher for relief shifts unclear, some
people get the relief shift, some people don't, depends in the team number, but the process in general
unfair
