- Mission Statement

To Whom It May Concern:

I am very happy to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Emily Konkel. Ms. Konkel was a pre-student
teacher in my classroom during the fall 2018 semester at Forsythe Middle School. In the last semester, Ms.
Konkel taught weekly 7th and 8th grade classes by creating highly engaging proficiency-based and CI
(Comprehensible Input) styled lessons.

Ms. Konkel is a very hard-working and reliable instructor who possesses a natural talent for teaching. She
creates lively and detailed lessons which include technology and combine frequent speaking opportunities,
reading, writing, acting, playing games, visual cues and authentic materials. With her humor, enthusiasm and
creativity, she knows how to connect material to student context and get students involved in the task at hand.
Her composed presence, the relationships she makes with students and the positive, upbeat atmosphere that she
fostered were very impressive indeed. In watching Ms. Konkel in the classroom, it is clear that she genuinely
enjoys teaching, and being with students each day.

As an experienced teacher of World Languages, I know that Ms. Konkel possesses the skills and talent to
become an excellent addition to any department and a positive community player in any school. She is one of the
best student teachers I have worked with in my 16 years of teaching. She is a reflective practitioner who is
highly motivated to perform to her best capabilities, which, are impressive. I highly recommend Ms. Konkel as a
teacher candidate and know that she will enrich any learning environment that she enters. Should you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Ms. Larissa Czuchnowsky
