I am pleased to be able to provide a letter recommending Alyssa Erickson for a
position as a teacher. Ms. Erickson taught in my seventh grade ELA classroom at
Monticello Middle School during the spring semester of 2014. She was an active
teacher in my classroom for two, forty-two minute periods a day, two days a week.
Ms. Erickson had a positive, successful experience in my classroom. She performed
all of her teaching duties in a responsible and dependable manner. Alyssa worked
closely with me in planning and put in extra effort to help create material for
lessons. Since I only saw her two days a week, Alyssa had to be extremely
organized and be in constant communication to make sure we were on the same
page. Her lessons were well thought out and planned to the needs of all students.
Ms. Erickson is very knowledgeable in the language arts content area.
By the end of her practicum in my classroom, Alyssas growth in all areas was
apparent. I was particularly impressed with her strengths in relating to the
students and her natural ability to teach. Ms. Erickson has the potential to become
an effective teacher and a wonderful asset to any school district. Her
dependability, planning skills, and communication with students are all part of her
strengths. I can predict Ms. Erickson will become an effective classroom teacher
with the proper guidance from a mentor teacher or the building principal. If you
