It has much of a 17th century style of building design, with rooms overhanging the
asphalt and dark unique Tudor shafts on the exterior.
Gourmet Turk is at the town focus. Masons presumably constructed it to house artisans
dealing with St Michael’s congregation in the 15th century.
This building has a long and distinguished gastronomy history, having been set up
inverse St Michael’s congregation since in any event the 15th century. It was then the
brewery for the church ales.
The building is stunning, with the original black and white and Tudor beams, and really
looks almost unchanged, despite 2 fires in recent history.
Nowadays, Gourmet Turk, inside this handsome old building serves good and delightful
Turkish food, and offers good warmth and company, the staff are welcoming, and it’s a
pleasant place to spend your meals.
Cold Mezes
Mezes are a Turkish version of Mediterranean.
Little tasty dishes with a wonderful assortment of flavour to tempt the palate and
stave off the appetite before main course.
