Act 1 Scene 1

(takes place in hallway after last bell)

Camera walks up to a small group of boys.
Boy1: Hey, want to go to the game tonight?
Conner: I wish I could but I have detention today.
Boy1: Detention? Ha Just skip.
Conner: I’m not like you. Even if i try to skip I’ll get caught.
Boy 1: I doubt that
Principal: Yes you would.
Boy1: Hey Principal Cordoba, how long have you been standing there?
Principal: *looks menacingly at boy1* I’ll see you next week.
Boy1: No you won’t
Principal: *looks at Conner* Shouldn’t you be getting to detention now Mr. Mustard.
Connor: *chuckles nervously* Of course, that’s where I was going anyway.
Camera moves to a group of girls.
Girl1: Don’t you have detention with Charlotte today?
Ava: *moves finger in front of mouth* Ssssshhhhh! *whispers* Mr. Cordoba is right over there!
Girl2: *whispers* So, thats a yes?
Ava: *whispers* Yes, but she dragged me into it. She wanted to get with Gene and had this
brilliant plan of getting detention with him!
Girl1: *whispers* What? Another guy? Doesn’t she already have a boyfriend?
Ava: *whispers* No they broke up last night.
Girl2: *whispers* Well she’s hitting the rebound quick!
*the girls giggle quietly as they walk out of the school*
Camera moves to another group of girls.
Penny: Hey let's go to mall today.
Girl3: I thought you have detention today?
Penny: Who needs detention when there’s an ongoing sale for 50% off, and it’s only for today!!
Principal: *walks up beside them* Well you can go there AFTER detention.
Penny: How about I go now and you find someone else to go.
Principal: Young lady, you are coming with me now. *grabs Penny’s arm gently and escorts
her to detention*

Act 1 Scene 2
(takes place in the AEA room)
Camera moves to inside of the detention room and watches Penny being dropped off.
Penny: Let go! How dare you put your hands on me!
Principal: Enjoy detention, next time you try to skip I’ll double it. *turns around and stands in the
hall*
Penny: *tries to say something, but stomps the ground instead, getting mad*
Camera turns to the class.
Gene: *laughs* Seems to me like you need Jesus!
Penny: *scoffs and struts to a seat in the back of the classroom, flipping her hair at Gene*
Camera turns to the teacher.
*teacher checks off name*
Camera pans to Charlotte walking inside and follows her.
Charlotte: *walks in slowly and stops at Gene’s desk* Hey there cutie *winks*
Gene: *smiles* Hey.
*Charlotte sits in the desk beside Gene*
Camera pans to the door.
*Wendy comes into the room with a handful of books and and her calculator and Phil follows not
far behind with about 6 books to read.*
Flemon: *asks everyone their names and checks them off the list* Ok since everyone is in here,
there will be no talking, being on your phones or sleeping. Is that understood?
Everyone(students): *mumbles except for Conor, who says “Yes sir!”, Phil, who just nods, and
Gene, who says “Whatever”*

Act 2 Scene 1
(takes place in AEA room)
Camera watches clock and fades to one hour later.
*An hour passes*
Camera moves to teacher sleeping.
*teacher is fast asleep*
Camera moves to students.
Gene: *stands up* Okay, let’s get this party started. *walks towards door*
Charlotte: Wait up! *rushes to Gene’s side*
Conor: I can’t believe I’m doing this. *stands up*
Charlotte: What are we doing again?
Conor: What do you mean we all agreed to it!
Gene: We’re going to prank that jerk. Remember?
Charlotte: I know that! What I meant is what are we going to do for the prank? Ooo, can we
paint his room pink?
Penny: Oh, yeah like that idea!
*Connor and Gene look at each other and face Charlotte*
Conor and Gene: No.
Wendy: *shyly* Umm, I...I got an idea...
Phil: Me too. *says quietly and nervously*
Gene: Let’s hear it then. *looks at Wendy* Ladies first.
Wendy: We should……..
Camera pans off in the distance, blurs as they continue talking/planning the prank.
10 min later...
Camera blurs back in as they are sitting around the desks whispering.
Connor: Before we go anywhere to get it, we need to decide what we are getting.
Gene: I’ll go around and search some lockers for anything we might be able to use. I might be
able to sneak into one of the teachers rooms and find any supplies. Is there anything specific
you think we might need?
Phil: Maybe a stapler? Or a pencil?
Gene: No, those are lame. We need something catastrophic! We need to teach him a lesson of
his own!!
Connor: Well I’ll go check in the weight room for anything we might be able to use.
Gene: Alright. Maybe get some dumbbells and extra heavy weights.
*Connor goes off to the weight room*
Gene: Alright then. The rest of us split up and go find anything you can. We know what we are
looking for. Just find something terrible to do to him. Remember what he did to us..
Camera turns to the teacher as they all leave the room quietly.

Act 2 Scene 2
(takes place in the hallway)
Camera cuts to Gene and Charlotte walking together.
Charlotte: Hey, Gene?
*Gene remains silent*
Charlotte: Hey?
Gene: *silence*
Charlotte: *grabs genes shoulder and shakes it* Hey! Hey! Gene?! Look at me!
Gene: Would you just stop following me?!
Charlotte: *on the verge of tears* W-what?
Gene: I don’t like you, so why would I want to be your boyfriend?
Charlotte: *shocked* What? I never said anything about wanting you to be my-
Gene: You are famous for dumping guys and hooking up with some else the next day!
Charlotte: *begins to cry and runs to the bathroom*
Camera watches as Charlotte runs down the hall.
Gene: I can’t deal with this drama, I’m out!

Act 2 Scene 3
(takes place in the weight room)
Camera cuts to Conor inside the weight room.qw
Connor: *doing push ups* 28, 29, 30 *moves to sit ups* 1, 2, 3
Camera cuts out. (note: sound should fade with the counting)

Act 2 Scene 4
(takes place in hallway by bathrooms)
Camera moves to Wendy and Phil walking down the hall.
*Neither talk as they walk* (they are just outside the bathrooms)
Wendy: Well we’re here….
Phil: Yeah….
*Both awkwardly rush into their separate bathrooms*
Camera cuts out.

Act 3 Scene 1
(takes place in AEA room)
Camera moves to the sleeping teacher.
Flemon: *snoring* ……… *sneezes* *grumbles* Dum allergies, and that was a good dream
too… *sits up* I’m surprised you all are so quiet…*rubs eyes and looks up* ah, they’re gone.
Darn it!
Camera follows Teacher.

Act 3 Scene 2
(takes place by bathrooms)
*teacher rushes out of the room and goes to the bathrooms*
Flemon: *walks into the boy’s bathroom* Hey!
Phil: *washing his hands jumps out of shock* Y-yes, sir?
Flemon: Do you know where everyone else went?
Phil: Wendy is in the girls bathroom but I don’t know about everyone else.
Flemon: Okay, thanks and once you’re done go back to the class. If you don’t then I’ll call your
parents as well!
Phil: As well?
Flemon: Well, of course I have to tell the principal.
Phil: B-but, I just-
Flemon: No buts!
Phil: Ah man… *walks out of bathroom*
Flemon: *walks out and knocks on the girl’s bathroom* *can here crying* Wendy? Are you in
there?
Wendy: *muffled through the door* Y-yes!
Flemon: Are you alright? Why are you crying?
Wendy: I-I’m fine! I’m not the one crying!
Flemon: Than who is?
Wendy: Charlotte got rejected by Gene!
Charlotte: I told you not to tell!
Wendy: But you aren’t supposed to lie to a teacher!
Charlotte: He didn’t need to know!
Flemon: I don’t care about teen drama! I just want you two to come out now!
*The door slowly opens*
Flemon: Now, go back to the detention room.
Wendy: Y-yes, sir.
Charlotte: *trying to hold back the tears*
Flemon: Do you know where any of the others are?
Charlotte: Ge-gene… was heading to the first C hallway… when… *becomes unable to
continue*
Flemon: *feels awkward* Thanks, but you two need to go back now.
Camera watches the girls.

Act 3 Scene 3

(first C Hallway)
Camera follow teacher as he’s stomping down the hallway to get to Gene.
Flemon: Where is that troublemaker? I know he’s behind this, he always is.
 Act 3 Scene 4

(Gym)
Camera fades to Connor.
Connor: *finishes sit ups and looks around* Why are those here? I’ll bet they’ll be useful.

Act 3 Scene 5

(the AEA room)

Camera fades to students in detention.

Phil: We’re in even more trouble… why did he have to wake up when we were just using the
bathroom?
Wendy: There’s nothing we can do about it… Charlotte are you going to be alright?
Charlotte: No! I broke up with my boyfriend because I thought…..
Wendy: You thought what?
Charlotte: It doesn’t matter now…
Phil: You do know that holding your emotions in, is one of the worst things you can do to your
mental health.
Charlotte: I don’t care! I’m not going to pour my heart out to any of you!
Wendy: B-but we’re just trying to help…
Charlotte: I was called a- *tears begin to creep up* nevermind.
Phil: What did he call you?
Charlotte: Again it’s none of your business, nerd!
Wendy: Hey! Stop acting like a child! We’re in high school, at least try to act like an adult.
Charlotte: *remains silent*
Wendy: *in a kind voice* Now tell us what’s wrong.

Act 3 Scene 6

(the second C hallway)

Camera moves to teacher.

Flemon: Well if he was there, he’s not anymore… I can’t leave the others alone for any
longer…. I’ll just call Mr. Cordoba, he’ll send Officer Gills after them.
 Act 3 Scene 7

(the 2nd floor D hallway)

Camera cuts to the other students.
Penny: Where are the others?
Connor: *walking up* I don’t know. But I found these in the gym.
Penny: Those useless…. Well whatever. Let’s get started.
Connor: *checks phone* This is bad. Phil said Mr. Flemon is awake and looking for us.
Penny: Tell them to distract him!
Connor: I did, he said no.
Penny: Give it here! *grabs Connor’s phone and calls Phil* If you distract him, I’ll buy you geeks
whatever you want! *hangs up and gives it back to Connor* We’re all set. Move quickly.

Act 3 Scene 8

(AEA room)
Camera fades to the group in AEA.
Phil: S-she said if we distract Mr. Flemon she’ll buy us anything we want!
Wendy: I’m not going to get in more trouble because they want to prank a teacher.
Charlotte: *stands up and walks outside the room*
Wendy: Charlotte? What are you doing?
Charlotte: HEY BALDY! WHERE ARE YOU?!

Act 3 Scene 9

(Main Hallway)
Camera moves to Flemon.
Flemon: *a look of disdain on his face* …. Why is she yelling?.... *sigh* I’ll get fired at this rate
for sure. *starts walking quickly towards the AEA room*

Act 3 Scene 10

(AEA room)
Camera moves to Wendy shocked.
Wendy: Why did she do that?!
Phil: Wouldn’t he be mad that she called him bald?
Wendy: Does it matter? Now we have to distract him!
Phil: I think that’s good.
Wendy: No, it’s bad! *sigh* Let’s go, I’m not going to let her do this by herself.
*Phil and Wendy join Charlotte in hallway*

Act 3 Scene 11

(Main Hallway)
Camera follows Wendy and Phil’s backs.
Charlotte: You joined me?
Flemon: *distant yell* WHAT DID YOU CALL ME!
Charlotte:*turns to the hallway* YOU SMELL LIKE A DEAD SKUNK!!
Flemon: WHAT?!
Wendy: You better stop Charlotte, he’ll call our parents. I don’t want to get grounded!
Charlotte: *evil grin* Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing Wendy. Go finish your homework, like
a good nerd.
Phil: Oh-kay. *turns around*
Wendy: Phil, stay. Go around to the other side. You’re the one who wanted free stuff.
*Phil runs past him to get behind him*
Phil: HEY FLEMON, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN! *Phil jumps in the air waving his arms*
Charlotte: You guys are helping me? Well maybe, Gene will like me more if we do this.
Wendy: *stares at Charlotte*
Charlotte: What? I’m persistent.
Wendy (to herself): She’s just going to end up crying, again.
Camera shows Charlotte running down the halls, pounding on the lockers (flickers in and out
when she pounds on a different locker).

Act 3 Scene 12
(Upstairs D Hallway)
Camera fades to the prank group.
Connor: What’s that noise?
Penny: If you have time to care, you have time to help!
 Act 4 Scene 1
(Office)
Camera fades to Officer Gills walking into the Office.
Officer Gills: Mr. Cordoba! Mr. Cordoba! You have to see this!
Cordoba: *is walking out of his Office* What is it? What’s going on?
Officer Gills: Flemon let the kids go wild again.
Cordoba: *sigh* I should have fired him the last time. Let’s go.
*Gills and Cordoba walks out of office*

Act 4 Scene 2
(Main Hallway outside of AEA room)
Camera fades to the distraction group.
Charlotte and Wendy: BALDY!!
*Cordoba and Gills walk up*
Flemon: *stunned, rubbing the back of his head* H-hello there Principal Cordoba, and Officer
Gills.
*Charlotte, Wendy and Phil stop in their tracks and turn to look at them*
Cordoba: *a look of disappointment* You fell asleep again, didn’t you?
Flemon: *scratches the back of his head nervously and looks away from Mr. Cordoba*
Possibly..
Cordoba: *rubs his temples with one hand and sighs* I’m definitely calling their parents and I’m
sorry Mr. Flemon but this was your last chance, you’re fired.
Flemon: But sir! Please give me one more chance!
Cordoba: I did and you wasted it. You have one week to gather your things. Officer Gills, find
the missing students and bring them to my office. You three to my office.
Cast walks away in their respected directs.

Act 4 Scene 3
(Herron’s room)
Fades to the Herron walking up to his room.
Moves to the other side of the door to show reaction.
Pans to the trashed room.

Act 4 Scene 4
(Commons)
Fades to the detention group, minus Gene.
Wendy: *walks up* I got grounded because of you guys.
Penny: *gestures to everyone* Didn’t all of us?
Phil: You said you’d buy us stuff!
Penny: Well, what do you want?
Phil: A telescope! *says sternly* And not some crummy one, I want a decent one.
Penny: Okay, what about you two?
Charlotte: Buy tickets to a concert, I could ask Gene. Speaking of, where was he yesterday? I
didn’t see him in the office.
Connor: I don’t know, he never showed up for the prank.
Charlotte: Well what happened to him?
Wendy: He left.
Connor: What?! It was his idea!
Penny: Who cares?!
Charlotte: I care! Wendy, why did he leave do you know?
Wendy: He said he couldn’t handle the drama and left.
Penny: Anyways, Winny what do you want me to buy you already?
Charlotte: When did that happen?
Wendy: My names Wendy and I have no need of your money.
Penny: Suit yourself.
Wendy: It happened right after you ran into the bathroom.
Charlotte: What… Well, do you know if he’s coming today?
Wendy: No.
Connor: I doubt he will. He likes to be alone when he feels there’s too much drama.
Charlotte: What? Well, when will he be back?
Connor: I don’t know.
Cordoba: *walks up* Are any of you going to cause trouble today?
Students(all): No..
Cordoba: Then go to class the bell rang.
*Wendy and Phil runoff*
Connor: Wow, I didn’t hear the bell ring.
Charlotte and Penny: Me neither. *looks at each other*
*students walk off past Herron, as he walks up, and snicker*
Mr. Jerk: Mr. Cordoba, I want to know who trashed my room.
Fades into black.
