ORAL PRESENTATION

Follow the following steps for a perfect oral presentation:

Slide 1: Title of your presentation/your name and details


Slide 2: Brief outline with the subtitles you will present
Slide 3: Introduction
Slide 4, 5, 6, 7….all your information with conclusion

All the information should be in the form of Bulleted Points only, Paragraphs will
not be accepted.

As you present the slides, explain the details. Marks will be allotted for the clarity of
speech, Pronunciation, Relevance of the material with respect to the topic
selected, Overall expression, Confidence and style of presentation.

Every student is supposed to submit the following:


1. PowerPoint Presentation – Hard copy and Soft copy

-Choose one of the following topics to write a report about:


1. Traditions in UAE
2. A visit to a historical place
3. A conference you attended
4. Tourism in Abu Dhabi
5. A visit to the Holy Places (Omrah – Haj)

- Include pictures, charts, and tables if needed. Print 3 slides in each page.
Bibliography:
End your presentation with a list of all the sources.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ORAL PRESENTATION

Method: 1. Search for a topic that is factual, scientific or informative in


nature.
2. Collect data from books, journals, newspapers, or the internet.
3. Try to limit your treatment of the topic to a specific area.
Format: 1. Your presentation must not be less than 7 slides long.
2. The first slide includes the college name, student’s name and ID
no, course title, semester and date, and name of the teacher.
3. The last page includes the references used by the student.
Presentation: 1. Organize your information on slide show (PowerPoint file).
2. Include only points and data that are hard to remember.
3. The slide should attract the attention of the audience and help
you explain your ideas.
4. Avoid reading long texts.
5. Try your presentation in advance to make sure it will not take
more or less than 3 minutes long.
6. Prepare your topic and rehearse it.
7. Use your voice, body language, and facial expressions when
presenting.
