ABSTRACT

Marine and coastal tourism as one of the largest segments of the maritime economy sector, as
well as the largest component of the tourism industry, often leads to controversy over
environmental impact and compatibility with other human activities. The application of an
economic system oriented to the conservation of the environment and natural resources is one
option to overcome the problem. The Blue Economy concept offers an economic concept based
on ecosystem principles, where the use of natural resources is more efficient and less
environmentally destructive, production systems are more efficient and clean, produce greater
economic value and products, increase labor absorption, and provide opportunities for benefits
each contributor more equitably.

Keywords: marine and coastal tourism, blue economy, sustainable tourism development

INTRODUCTION

Use the “Times New Roman” font with the size of 12 pt for the body text, size 11 for
Abstract ad Abstrak, size 12 for Authors name, dan size 11 for Reference, Table, and
Figure (Ezugwu, 2007; Hascalik et al., 2007).
Extreme care should be taken in preparing mathematical typescripts. All
mathematics should be legible, precise and carefully aligned. The following shows an
example of putting an equation in the text.
