I like + verb -ing (me gusta): I like reading (Me gusta leer).
I would like to + verb infinitive (me gustaría): I would like to go the cinema (Me gustaría ir al cine).
I love + verb -ing (me encanta): I love playing tennis (Me encanta jugar al tenis).
I am keen on + verb -ing (me gusta mucho): I am keen on swimming (Me gusta mucho nadar).
I enjoy + verb -ing (disfruto): I enjoy walking along the beach (Disfruto paseando por la playa).
My favourite (mi favorito): My favourite song is “Let it be” (Mi canción favorita es Let it be).

I dislike/I don’t like + verb -ing (me disgusta): I dislike arrogant people (No me gusta la gente
prepotente).
I hate + verb -ing (odio): I hate the annoying noisies (Odio los ruidos molestos).
I can’t stand + verb -ing (no puedo soportar): I can’t stand seeing how they are destroying the forest
(No puedo soportar ver cómo están destruyendo el bosque).

Para expresar que algo nos gusta, se utilizan las siguientes frases:
I love... Me encanta(n)...

Para expresar que algo no nos gusta, se utilizan las siguientes frases:
I hate... Odio...

I dislike... No me gusta(n)

I don't like... No me gusta(n)

I'm not interested in... No me interesa(n)...

En ambos casos, las expresiones son seguidas de un sustantivo o de un verbo en -ing (forma del gerundio).
Intenta pensar en frases para decir lo que le gusta y lo que no le gusta hacer, comenzando con alguna de las
opciones mostradas. Por ejemplo:
I like dancing. Me gusta bailar. I love learning English. Me encanta aprender inglés.
I'm fond of cooking. Me gusta cocinar. I don't like playing video-games. No me gusta jugar a los
videojuegos.
I hate writing letters. Odio escribir cartas. I'm not interested in cinema. No me interesa el cine.

Cuando hablamos de 'Likes & Dislikes' debemos tener en cuenta que podemos hablar de cosas que
nos gustan, pero también de acciones que nos gustan.
USOS:
COSAS: Si quieres indicar que te gusta alguna cosa, lugar o persona podemos utilizar el
verbo 'like'.
SUJETO + VERBO DE PREFERENCIA + RESTO DE FRASE
Me gusta la música.
I like music.
También podemos negar el verbo principal e indicar lo contrario, es decir, que no te gusta
algo, alguien o algún lugar.
No me gusta la música.
I don't like music.
ACCIONES: Si queremos indicar que nos gusta hacer algo (alguna acción), debemos poner
el verbo de esa acción en '-ing'.
También podemos negar el verbo principal e indicar lo contrario, es decir, que no te gusta
realizar una acción.

¿CUÁLES SON?
Los verbos más comunes para expresar preferencias son los siguientes.
Debemos tener en cuenta que la tercera persona de los verbos termina en 's' (I.e. She
likes [listening to] music.).
Recuerda que si hablamos de alguna acción utilizamos dos verbos, y el segundo verbo
debe ir en -ing.
Además, ten en cuenta que podemos utilizar esta estructura en afirmativa, negativa o
interrogativa.

can’t understand how somebody can kill an animal! My wife’s father is a hunter, but he says he never
kills animals – he only watches them. I don’t believe him.In my free time I like listening to CDs. I like all
kinds of pop and rock music. Right now I like listening to Indian music. My wife prefers jazz. I don’t mind
that classical jazz – Ella Fitzgerald, for example – but I don’t like free jazz. I simply don’t understand it!
My wife loves it! She collects jazz CDs.I like doing all kinds of sports – tennis, basketball and skiing in
