TP Task 3 – Planning for Learning
This task is linked to ECE3503: instructional strategies and planning for assessment. It asks
you to take on an active role in planning and preparing for active learning environments.
This task requires you to meet with your MST, and through his/her guidance, plan a weekly
plan using the school template. Evidence of implementation of this plan is also required
(added to blog with a reflection). You need 4 weekly plans for WIKS.
The planning cycle is when you have long term plans which
shows what are you going to teach in a whole school year
for the students. Medium term planning is when you plan
for a term or a or half of it and the short term planning is
when the teacher plans weekly or daily. The long term plan
What is the planning cycle? determines the public holidays and main themes in a school
year. The medium term planning is to adapt into situations
like the weather and school events and the short term
planning are specific and they show the teacher exactly
what is she going to do to guide her through her day or
week.
