IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS

 Academic calendar
Winter Semester – 1 October – about 10 February
Summer Semester – about 14 February – about 30 June

 Deadline for sending the application form

31 May for Winter Semester and the whole academic year
31 October for Summer Semester

Student has to read carefully the INFORMATION FOR ERASMUS INCOMING STUDENTS -
before arrival to the University of Rzeszów –

Application Form should be filled in ON-LINE:

printed and send (duly signed) together with:
 3 identity card size pictures
 photocopy of the passport or identity card
 transcript of records
 statement about good knowledge of English at least B1 level within the Common European
Framework of References for Languages (signed by Institutional or Departmental Coordinator).

Please, note that lectures are taught in English and it might cause you serious problems, if you come
to the University of Rzeszow without an intermediate knowledge of English.

Details of the card size pictures:

 The photo must have the good quality (clear, normal light)
 The background must be smooth, not glowing and the contour of the head must be clearly visible
 Photos with the shadow of the person are inadmissible
 Colours must be natural - uncouolured photos are inadmissible (black and white, sepia)
 The photo should be in the JPG size – 400 x 500 pixels
 The photo should presents the person without the head-dress and glasses with dark lens.

Students of nursing, midwifery and physiotherapy have to bring with themselves current
results of examinations:
1. X-ray of chest
2. Carrier state testing Salmonella and Shigella
3. Blood cell count determination (morfology)
4. Urine analysis
5. Medical examination about state health with stamp and signature of doctor
Students need also proper insurance for working in hospital

 Courses
The University of Rzeszów offers a lot of courses taught in English.

 Polish Language Course

Students will be offered twice a week Polish Language Course which is free
of charge, of course.

 Arrival
Date of arrival depends on students. There is no orientation week.
Volunteer students of UR will pick Erasmus students up at the station or the airport in
Rzeszów.

 First meeting
Students will receive all relevant information about their stay in Rzeszów at the International
Relations Office (Rejtana str. 16C, room 26).
Volunteer students will go with Erasmus students to:
- the dean’s office where they will receive student’s card (legitymacja), which will entitled
them to reduced price for the bus and train tickets.
- the person responsible for Erasmus students at the Faculty

 Help
Erasmus students will receive any help from staff of the International Relations Office which
is opened from Monday till Friday (9.00 a.m.- 2.00 p.m).
