Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Katie Bianchi, a young woman whom I have come to know over
the past year. I have been Katie’s social studies teacher for going on two years in the Pre-Med Core
here at Windsor High School. Our program serves students interested in pursuing careers in health
care or public safety, and we work closely with our students over the course of two years, providing
them with skills and experiences that will help them to be successful when they leave high school.
This being the case, I have had the opportunity to watch Katie grow as a student and a person, and I
am convinced that she is a young lady with a great deal of potential.

One thing that stands out about Katie is that she is very focused and goal-oriented; she has a talent
for zeroing in on a task and committing to it until it is done. She holds herself to a very high standard
academically as her grades are very important to her, and her work is generally of very good quality.
Katie often asks questions about material we are studying in order to confirm her understanding, and
she is extremely conscientious about meeting expectations and deadlines.

Katie knows what it takes to be successful and is willing to do almost anything in order to achieve the
goals she sets for herself. Her athletic prowess is testament to her ability to excel individually and to
work collaboratively as a teammate. With time and growth, I’m certain Katie will be a young woman
of whom any institution can be proud.

Sincerely,

Geoff Vinson
