2 COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS
3 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
INVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS
In the environment, this substance and / or its components are expected to remain on the water and soil surface and
persist.
INHALATION:
In case of adverse exposure to vapours and /or aerosols formed at elevated temperatures, immediately remove the
affected victim from exposure. Administer artificial respiration if breathing is stopped. Keep at rest. Call for
prompt medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT:
Flush with large amounts of water; use soap if available.
For hot product; immediately immerse in or flush the affected area with large amounts of cold water to dissipate
heat. Cover with clean cotton sheeting or gauze and get prompt medical attention. No attempt should be made to
remove material from skin or to remove contaminated clothing, as the damaged flesh can be easily torn.
EYE CONTACT:
Immediately flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Get prompt medical attention.
INGESTION:
First aid is normally not required.
LAND SPILL:
Sweep up spilled material and place in suitable containers for recycle or disposal.
Consult an expert on disposal of recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.

WATER SPILL:
Stop source if possible to do so without hazard. Advise authorities of possible floating substances, if material
enters watercourses or sewers. Confine if possible.
Skim from surface.
Consult an expert on disposal of any recovered material and ensure conformity to local disposal regulations.

MATERIALS AND COATINGS SUITABLE : Pellets are normally stored in silos of aluminium or plastic bags. Many
materials are suitable.

STORAGE / HANDLING, GENERAL NOTES
Keep container closed. Handle containers with care. Open slowly in order to control possible pressure release.
Store in a cool, well-ventilated place away from incompatible materials.
DO NOT handle, store or open near an open flame, sources of heat or sources of ignition. Protect material from
direct sunlight.
Material will accumulate static charges which may cause an electrical spark (ignition source). Use proper bonding
and /or grounding procedures.
This product contains material which, when handled under certain conditions (open heating and /or mechanical shear),
the following component(s) with a recognised or recommended OEL value may be released:
Particulates (dust);
TWA: 10 mg /m3, for inhalable particulates not otherwise classified, ACGIH (1999).
Particulates (dust);
TWA: 3 mg/m3, for respirable particulates not otherwise classified, ACGIH (1999).
PERSONAL PROTECTION
GENERAL ADVICE
The use and choice of Personal Protection equipment is related to the hazard of the product, the workplace, and the
way the product is handled.
In general, we recommend as a minimum safety precaution that safety glasses with side-shields and workclothes
protecting arms, legs and body be used. In addition, any person visiting an area where this product is handled or
processed should at least wear safety glasses with side-shields.
SPECIAL ADVICE
Based on and limited to Shanghai Jinsen Hydrocarbon Resins Co., Ltd.’s experience of this product as such, the
following special advice is believed to provide satisfactory protection for the industrial user or handler.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
Where concentrations in air may exceed the limits given in this section, it is recommended to use a half face filter
mask to protect from overexposure by inhalation. Suitable filter material depends on the amount and type of
chemicals being handled in the workplace, but filter material of type “P” or similar may be considered for use.
HAND PROTECTION
When handling this product, it is recommended to wear chemical resistant gloves, using inner gloves for thermal
protection of required. The choice of suitable protective gloves depends on work conditions and what chemicals are
handled. Please contact Jinsen for advice on what type of glove material may be suitable. Gloves should be replaced
immediately if sign of degradation is observed.
EYE PROTECTION
When handling this product hot, it is recommended to wear safety glasses and preferably a face shield to protect
from splashes of hot material.

Dust may be irritating to eyes and respiratory tract.
Vapors and /or aerosols which may be formed at elevated temperatures may be irritating to eyes and respiratory
tract.
SKIN CONTACT:
Low order of toxicity.
Frequent or prolonged contact may cause mild skin discomfort.
Exposure to hot material may cause thermal burns and adhesion of the solidified product to the skin.
EYE CONTACT:
Exposure to hot materials may cause thermal burns.
INGESTION:
Minimal toxicity.

ENVIRONMENTAL MOBILITY
This substance is a polymer, is insoluble in water, and floats.
ENVIRONMENTAL GEGRADABILITY
This substance is expected to persist.
13 DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Suitable routes of disposal of this product are incineration in appropriate incinerators with energy recovery, disposal in
landfills or appropriate recycling methods.
