Stage 2: Determine Evidence for Assessing Learning


Formal or Informal Assessments: How will you know that they know?
● Students will do an informal assessment.
● Students will complete a cut and paste activity where they will have a list of activities which they will
then sort into two columns, honest or dishonest.

Stage 3: Build Learning Plan


Materials: Everything you will need for the lesson.
● Book “The boy who cried ninja” by Alex Latimer
● Honesty posters
● Honesty dice activity
● Honesty cut and paste assessment ( simple sentences and higher level words)
● Pencils
● Scissors
● Glue

Learning Activities: Step by step activities (Include the amount of time)


● Read aloud (20 minutes)
● Dice activity (10 minutes)
● Assessment (10 minutes)

Activities for Differentiation: What will you do for students who struggle/finish early?
● The lower readers will be given a simple sentences assessment while the higher level readers will be
given a separate and higher level assessment.

Changes: What do you need to change the next time you teach this lesson?

- students responded well to the activity however I need to establish ways to grab the students’ attention

for future activities.
