Figure 1
Figure 1 shows plan view of the mudmat system, with Main mudmat at the center and two
Additional mudmats on both sides. C1 and C2 are the connections between the mudmats.
Main mudmat details
Length, L1 = 17 m
Breadth, B1 = 10 m
Area, A1 = 170 m2
Additional mudmat details (Ref. Figure 1)
Mudmat weight, W = 350 kN
Length, L2 = 17 m
Breadth, B2 = 11 m
Connections distance, d = 14 m
Area, A2 = 187 m2
Overall Foundation Design loads
Note 1: Design loads were obtained from Ref.xx (FLET Foundation Design Report)
Note 2: As a conservative approach, maximum force and moment components from among
various load cases are expected to act simultaneously
Note 3: Loads are inclusive of ISO partial load factors
Fx = 740 kN
Fy = 740 kN
Fz = -2100 kN
Mx = 1100 kNm
My = 3070 kNm
Mz = 810 kNm

CALCULATION NOTE A1 6/16/2018
From the overall foundation design loads and max/min bearing pressure, it can be observed
that the bearing pressure varies significantly in the length (X) direction, whereas minimal variation
is expected in the breadth (Y) direciton. Figure 2 shows the pressure distrubtion along X axis
Figure 3 shows pressure distribution along Y axis.

various load cases are expected to act simultaneously. Lowest My is considered,
as this causes maximum loads on connection C1
