Learning Plan: Instructional Strategies /Lesson Activity: (Identify your CFAs and CITW strategies
in your plan)
Anticipatory Set:
Review previous lesson, open with lesson opener from resources for each section, an activity, or relate
concepts to real world.
L2.1-Have students work in groups. They are given 5 rational numbers to place in order on the number
line on the board in the front of the classroom.
L2.2- Sing integers song (same sign add and keep, different subtract, keep the higher value and then
you’ll be exact). Have students work in groups to put together the puzzle on adding integers.
L2.3-Sing song again to review/remember rules.
L2.5-Review properties of addition.
L2.6-Review multiplication rules.
L2.7-What is similar? Write problems of multiplying and division integers with answers on the board.

Engaging the student in learning the content:

Students come to class prepared, take notes, participate in class activities and actively engage in class
discussion. Work to be turned in at the end of class if completed (unless otherwise specified by the
teacher). The incomplete work will be taken home for homework and due the next class period.
