Retakes & Test/Quiz Corrections

Retakes may be taken on any test or quiz if you received below a 60% the first time you take it.
The maximum score you may receive on a retake test is a 75%.

Corrections must be done on a separate sheet of paper with:

● Name, date, and hour
● Stapled on top of test or quiz
● All work must be shown or an explanation must be included for each problem
● The question you should ask yourself is “Have I proven to Mr. Vogel that I now know
exactly how to do this problem?” If you’re not sure, just ask!
Important Information
● Test corrections must be completed before the next chapter test; they must be done in
my classroom, your study hall, your homeroom, or during my office hours.
● If all goes well, you will receive 1/3 of the points you missed back. (ex. Original score
10/16 (63%) after corrections successfully completed add 6/3 or 2 to original so new
score is 12/16 (75%).)
If you received below a 60% on a test/quiz, completing all corrections correctly and with
proper work will result in a guaranteed 75%!

Homework
To receive the maximum points, your assignment must have the following:
Organization
● Your name and section number for each assignment
● All homework must be in order
● Problem numbers listed prior to work and circled or boxed
● Work must be legible
Completeness
● Problems are all accounted for
● Problems are all complete, including work shown
● Turned in on time

You are allowed two days to turn in assignments!

Each assignment will be work 8 points. If assignments are turned in one day after they
are due, the maximum score for the assignment is 7 points. Anything turned in after that
will receive a maximum of 6 points.

Homework Quizzes

At the end of each chapter, you will be given a homework quiz. Each homework quiz will have
at least one problem from each assignment in the chapter. You may use your homework on the
homework quiz! This is my way of checking your homework for accuracy.

Bellwork

At the beginning of class on most days, you will be given a problem or two as a review or a
preview of topics you will be tested on in the future. Participation is all I ask!
