    Dear Ms. Laird. Welcome to Nowhere


    My teacher Ms. Yvette read the book “Welcome to Nowhere”.
    It was fun reading it, but there were some sad parts. I really
    like the way the family is always together. It feels safe.

    This book is set in 2011 during the war in Syria. Omar, the 12
    year old boy who lives with his family, is the main character.
    Omar and his family escaped the war, but some people died
    like Baba, Omar’s father. And that was the sad part.

    I’m Guo Jun He. I am the youngest brother in my family. I am

    brother. First me and Omar used to be in charge of the
    family, then both of our brother were in charge. When I was
    in China, my brother stayed in St. Maarten, so I had to be in
    charge of the family. I really understand how Omar felt. That
    is how I’m related to Omar.
