2.algorithms: a step-by-step method for solving all problems of a given type.
3. proof by contradiction: is based on the idea that if an assumption leads to an
absurdity or to something that could not possibly be true, then the assumption must
be false.
4. sequence: a function from some set {1, 2, 3, 4,.....} of positive integers into a set S.
