WORKING TOGETHER FOR MENTAL HEALTH

A Proposed Mental Health Campaign Strategy as Per #Behealed #Iamtheissue #HouseofModeElle

Objective: An action and campaign about Mental Health Time for all youth’s mental health care needs to
be integrated and coordinated within neighborhood community and systems of care, bringing together
services to promote youth’s healthy development and to foster resiliency. Building an early response
capacity with child find, screening, surveillance will offer early intervention before serious disorders
develop. The need for a proactive universally-provided system to address mental health issues of youth by
pediatricians/family physicians, schools and other community providers, along with traditional mental health
providers has been documented prior to the current recession.

This proposal is not just a response to the shrinking peso or shrinking of traditional services while needs
are becoming greater in a stressed community. Rather, this document is to stress the need for a master
plan and to provide suggestions to promote a dialogue for more integrated population-based, tiered,
selected and targeted interventions.

Target Attendees: Students in High School, Universities and all about youth in all communities in Metro.

Projects:

1. Interactive Seminars about Stress and Distress, anti-bullying and All about Mental Health

Target: Robinsons and SM Malls and School Auditoriums

Target: Students, Youth in and out of schools in the community Help needed: -Brgy Officials esp.
SK to help us gain grps of youth to attend the Seminars

2. PROJECT RUNWAY- with theme all about Mental Health

Target loc: Rizal Open Auditorium and Paco Park Manila Chronological order: Normal ( designer’s
formal pieces), stress attacks (Flipping of Clothes, dramtic runway) and Self Love and actual self
acceptance ( Avangarde- artistic collections)
3. Photoshoots for Ads in Schools and Malls: posters, banners and Billboards as Campaign

4. Personality Development as per Barangay Halls, City Hall and Events to involve Youth in arts, sports and
fashion

5. Trilogy Movie by Reyno Oposa and House of Mode Elle

- Kalam: A kid with has mild cerebral palsy trying to help herself being bullied

-Sigaw; 2 sisters experiencing stress againsts their step father and environment. Bipolar and persoinality/
behavioral disorders will be tackled

- Saklap is all about young gay fighting rejection, stress against family and community and homosexuality.
