3.1 Introduction

This chapter contains information needed to develop the proposed system.

Through critical analysis and observation of the stated problems, the proponents
will develop a system that will support the monitoring of the students who are
going to enter the school premises. The proposed system will be beneficial for the
school and its students as well.

3.2 System Design Specification

The proposed system will provide different functions with regards to the
monitoring of students that are entering the school.

The Data Flow Diagram (DFD) is a graphical representation of the

flow of data through an information system. It enables you to represent the
process in your information system from the viewpoint of data. The DFD
lets you visualize how the system operates, what the system accomplishes
and how it will be implemented, and when it is refined with further
specification.

3.3 Summary

The proponents conducted a study to create a system that will help to

solve the problem of the school monitoring on the attendance of their students.
One by one procedure is not easy to do, they need to spent more time to monitor
properly all the people that are entering and leaving the school.
The proposed system would help the school to lessen the errors, avoid pen
and paper method, and minimize time consumed in monitoring the attendance.
The system would also help the parents in monitoring their child by receiving a
notification and they can also track where their child is by using a GPS.
